My conditional green card expires Feb 25, 2013. My spouse and I will like to travel internationally for 10 days over the christmas holidays and return by Jan 3, 2013.

I plan on mailing the documents to remove the condition on my green card before we leave for our vacation.

Should I anticipate to have problems reentering the US with only about 2 months left on my conditional green card? Should I refrain from traveling? There is no guarantee that i will receive a letter from UCSIS before we leave on the trip to show the immigration officers that I submitted documents to remove the green card condition.

Please advise.

Thanks

It's valid right up til the expiry date. CBP might remind you that you have to file to remove conditions, and you can tell them that you've done so.

It's a bad idea to cut it so fine that a delayed flight might mean you bust the expiration date, but 7 weeks is plenty of time.

I would take a color copy or travel with your I 797 from your ROC. Don't cut it to short where you can't get back into the US.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

You shouldn't have any problems. If you're worried take the ORIGINAL NOA1 from ROC and you'll be fine either way :)
