Hi All!!

So my Fiance and I are trying to figure out whats next about you get you NOA2. The hard copy came to so I assume that my fiance, who is the petitioner, can call the NVC for our case number? Will we need to give them our USCIS case number or just our information? Are there any fee's to pay right now?

In terms of the I 134 form. My fiance just needs to fill it out with supporting evidence and send it to me? There's no need for the case number or anything?

And then we just need for the petition to be sent to the American embassy in Dublin so we can get Packet 3 and I can start planning on scheduling a medical?

I hope I don't sound clueless. I've read a lot about this part of the process but I'd rather get some clarity from people who have already gone through this part because I want to get it right.

Thanks in advance!!

yas, your fiance can call the NVC asking for case number,he need to provide some information when he call them, both names,DOB,receipt number of the NOA2 ,no fees to pay until the case transferred to you back home country,

In terms of the I 134 form. My fiance just needs to fill it out with supporting evidence and send it to me? There's no need for the case number or anything?

need to fill out form i 134 and some avoidance of employment ,tax return ,pay stub, letter from employer, you need a copy of the NOA2 ofcourse

And then we just need for the petition to be sent to the American embassy in Dublin so we can get Packet 3 and I can start planning on scheduling a medical?

the NVC center will transferred the petition to the embassy in Dublin, then you start filling some forms after you contact the embassy,I think the embassy has to schedule your medical,

I hope I don't sound clueless. I've read a lot about this part of the process but I'd rather get some clarity from people who have already gone through this part because I want to get it right.

Thanks in advance!!

keep asking

You call NVC, you will then get a new case number, they will verify contact information, and let you know when it will be sent to your embassy. This can take several weeks from NVC to embassy. You can complete I-134 now and gather any additional proof of relationship to send. You can go to travel.state.gov to look at the forms you can work on. You will need to talk to VJers in your embassy for Packet 3

It is confusing, because its not a standard process, lots of variations! thats why its important to get the right advice from someone who has been through your local consulate.

No your fiance does not need a case number to fill out the I-134, though for supporting evidence, the requirements can vary between local consulates, so check it out before he sends it off to you.

NVC - you can call and get a case number, this is not mandatory for all countries, I got mine in my packet3 and didn't feel we needed to rush this part of the process. but if you want to get it to speed the process up then do so, What I did do, was check for those around the same NOA2 date to see when they put in that NVC had received their petition - so essentially I had a guestimate when I would get my packet 3, you could do the same in terms of calling NVC, let others do the hard work for you :P .

either have a look in your country portal on VJ for guides for this part of the process, or you can have a look at the Dublin embassy website and see what they require from you, for Sydney, everything is on their website, Dublin might be the same?
