Hiya...I'm an American living in the U.K. with my Scottish husband. I've just received my residence permit for indefinite leave to remain in the U.K., so we've decided to file in London for his visa to the States. My parents have agreed to sponsor him, thankfully. My question is this: I just started a job here last September. It's my first job ever, so I don't have any income tax papers to show any sort of income for the past 3 years. Do I have to file with the IRS now, in order to prove I also have income? I'm a lunch supervisor at the local primary school, so I only work an hour a day, five days a week, and bring in less than 130 pounds a month. Any help or advice about going the whole DCF route would be highly appreciated, as the more I read, the more apprehensive I get!!

Well you will need to file your taxes with the IRS, like all Citizens. But there are exceptions when you do not have to file, you just need to state them.

Your income is irrelevant as far as Immigration is concerned, you will need a US Residency address, presumably you can use your Parents address.

hiya...Sorry to be a bother, but could anyone please tell me where I could get some of these forms notarized in the U.K.? Thanks so much, in advance, for your time!

If you need them notarised by a US officer, then you would need to go to the Embassy. No appointment needed. If it's by a UK Notary, then you could go to a Lawyer's Firm and they might be able to help.
