When is your official appointment, Mark?

Update from me: received the RFE letter today and it simply states they need proof of my co-sponsor's citizenship, and i can send them "a birth certificate issued by a civil authority showing birth in the united states, or a copy of the biographical page" of his passport.

I'm relieved it's an easy fix, I somehow just completely forgot to include it before, and I already have it ready to be posted out later today (when the tornado warnings for SE Louisiana cease!). No huge drama, and hopefully it won't have caused too much of a delay considering my biometrics isn't until 20th dec anyway.

Continued luck to y'all :)

Actually, I did exactly the same thing as you. Totally and utterly forgot to include L's Birth Certificate or copy of her passport page. Whoops!

Oh well, you'll get the same letter in a few days then! I actually included Andrew's birth certificate elsewhere in the packet, so I guess they at least figured out they could use that for the i864 as well. But for the co-sponsor I just included form & taxes. I'm glad it was an RFE not out rejection to re-file, I'm never exactly sure where that line is crossed. It feels so different at this stage than i-129f petition though, right? Much much much much calmer!

Good luck!

Probably because I haven't gotta do it on my own! Oh god now you have me worrying they will attempt to get me to refile and pay more money ARGH! *sigh* oh well.

So, I just realised my co-sponsor sent me a black and white copy of his passport bio page. I really really hate to bother him any more, but did you all send colour copies of your sponsor's passport? I'd be more comfortable with that, i've always made colour copies of things in the past. Another awkward email to my incredibly busy father in law it is...

A little Back Ground. I overstayed my visitors visa for quite a few years (Came to USA 1998 and haven't left since). Met my wife in college and dated for 1 year, we were engaged for 10 more months and then got married October 6th! All in All the packet I sent in kicks butt! Affidavit letters of support from her parents that was notarized, letters from friends, tons of pictures professionally taken at our wedding (one including all 200+ guests that attended), bank accounts merged, her DL with new last name, lease, and to top it off, the engagement ring letter of appraisal (to toot my own horn, if they don't think my wedding is Bona Fide after that then WOW!)

I sent in everything on November the 29th through my lawyer's mail. (The mail at my home seems to be very inconsistent with various packets and letters going missing, so I told my lawyer to list himself 'In Care Of' so that I could make sure I received everything). The Cash was checked on Friday December the 7th and I haven't heard anything since then! I can't look at the back of my check because they did ACH (electronic transfer) Transfer instead of just cashing the check. AHHH I'M SO IMPATIENT!!! When do you guys think I'll hear something?

Biometrics completed today, 3 weeks early.. We showed up at 1000am and it was very crowded. While waiting to talk to someone, one of the employees was very angry at a few people for not listening and a pen went flying into tge office. I thought no way are they going to let us in early. We went up and the gentleman looked at our paperwork and said you're here on the wrong day. I said we will be out of town on that date and we were trying a walk-in. He informed us they don't do walk-ins anymore. So we just stood there silent. He looked around then said he would have to reschedule us. I told him I would have to check my calander at home. Then we were silent, him checking tge long line of people. Then he asked if we had something to do in town and if we could come back between 2 and 3pm. We said absolutely we can.

Went back at 230pm, person in line in front of us had a Monday date and he said no, come back on monday. Then we talked to the person who was very aggrevated in the morning.. Asked the gentleman if he was going to let us go and he said yes, then everything was very pleasant. Must of been my wifes smile, she brings out the best.... After that, done in 10 minutes. Now starts the waiting game.
