I just checked and my EAD/AP card has been sent to production, yay! I assume it's valid for another year? I'll go get another DL when it turns up in the mail.

In the meantime, 14 months later... no word on my GC at all. This is one crazy game we're contestants in.

No, Infopass was not useful, I think that she did not know what she was talking about. We are still holding due to background checks. Person told me that the 6 months at NBC do not count with them, so they consider to only having the file 5 months, so they are not outside of normal processing time. Also, she said the background checks are being done internally, so it varies who does the checks. Also, she said if we did not receive a waiver letter that we will get an interview. I told her waiver letters did not begin until March 2013, and we applied before then. She did not know. Her answers to questions were vague, or I don't know.

Well the interview went well we got approved and send a E-mail saying that the card is in production.. thanks god the waiting is over

Am I the only one from Nov 12 still without green card? We received notice last month that our case had FINALLY been forwarded to New Orleans field office. Spoke to Tier 2 officer shortly after and was informed it had arrived there in Dec and I should get an interview date within 4 months (this is despite getting the interview waiver letter 6 months ago). It's March now and still no interview date...

Never in a million years did I expect this process to take 17 months (and that's just so far, with no end in sight...)

Is anyone else still waiting or am I the only one?

Nope, I am still here. I am going to file with Ombudsman this week.

Hi guys,

I cant believe there is still someone waiting on a green card!!! Its been 1 year since I got mine!

I had a dufferent bad experience with USCIS tho! My purce was stolen and all my paperwork including my green card, SS card and everything! It was crazy! I became some kind of illigal! I was lucky my employer had a copy of my green crd on file otherwise I would have lost my job when my EAD expired! Make sure guys you only carry copies and when you get your green cards go and make copies everywhere you can (Social Security Office, DMV... Everywhere!) once they make copies in their office an put it on file you are good! I feel like all of you now without a green card! Cant leave the country and change my job!!! Just ridiculous!

And by the way I had to pay $450 for renewal of a lost/stolen GC. Apparently these cases are not that popular and they send them to the NBC where these guys are backed up with cases from last year and I am probably not gonna get my GC before the time I need to apply for the 10 years one! I called them numerous times and every time the answer is "Sorry! We are currently working on caes filed June 2013 so your case (filed October ) is within the "normal processing time" which can be Eternity if they feel like!

Are they short on staff or something? Even if they were its been forever and whoever is in charge for that had to be a little more proactiv and do something!

I cant believe how they play with people's lives!
