Yes, after a long wait I finally received a green card. No interview either!

Came here on K1 visa and received a green card that expires in 10 years. Expiration date is 07/2023. I thought that first greencard would only be good for 2 years?!

Did anyone else receive a permanent resident card that expires in 10 years??

Uau......no interview & 10-year GC!!!dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

Uau......no interview & 10-year GC!!!

Thanks. It's kind of weird since we are married only under a year and received a greed card that's good for the next 10 years. Maybe USCIS found out that we are expecting a baby next month? dancin5hr.gif

I just received a letter from the USCIS today regarding my service request as my husbands application is outside normal processing time and it stated: "Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided."

I just received the same letter!

So now what???

I filed Nov 8th 2012. I called the senator about a month ago and got the reply that my case is a noninterview case and that they right now take 9-12 months. I guess they haven't even shipped my case to another office yet and Im sarting to feel totally hopeless...

We filed our AOS on Nov 5th 2012 and are still waiting - weird thing is that we received the original K-1 package that my wife had turned over to the Immigration officer at the airport when she first arrived here. The Administrative Appeals Office in Washington DC mailed it to us. When I spoke with a Level 2 officer a couple of days ago to get more information from the service request we had placed, she said that we should not have been in possession of those documents and to schedule an appointment in INFOPASS to our nearest USCIS district office to hand them over. Anyone else have run into the same instance?

Wow.

Thanks just funky weird, an indication of really bad casefile management back at the location where it was sent from.

I'm wondering if it would make more sense just to file a new AOS set, pay a new fee, this week?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Well, it's been 15 days since they placed a service request for me, which is when they told me to call back if i hadn't heard anything. So i did. They guy said my SR was assigned to someone at NBC to respond to on Aug 7th. Not even to deal with my case necessarily, just the SR. He said to "just keep calling back" to see if there's an update. So the 15 days thing, like everything else, is just a totally arbitrary number. I didn't event think about my pending AOS for the first 6 months but now it's really starting to get me down :(

Uau... I do not receive any response from congressman, but....I just receive RFE from USCIS - San Fernando Field Office (CA). Actually the date on it is August 6, 2013. It was sent to our old address in SC, and that's why we receive it today.

They want to send them Medical examination (I-693) by a USCIS authorized civil surgeon, submitted in an envelope sealed by the civil surgeon; and Vaccinations supplement only.

I already sent a copy of Vaccination documentation worksheet, given to me at the end of the medical exam (10/05/2012) for nonimmigrant fiancée visa, with I-485 form. I don't know why they what this again.

I just called to the nearest authorized civil surgeon, and the assistant told me that the price for this service is $300. Is this a good price?

It is also mentioned in the letter, that I could mail documents with this letter or bring documents to Chatsworth Filed Office on the day of the Adjustment of Status Interview.

As I didn't receive letter for interview does this mean that eventually I could be approved without interview. What do you think???

We're in the same situation as you. If you googled immigration medical exam, you would find a medical exam in Van Nuys for $175.00. In my area (San Gabriel Valley), it's about $130.

I am a November filer, priority date 19 November, We have not heard anything since doing biometrics in December. We put in E-request 19 July and told to wait 4 weeks and then to call them. Today, we called USCIS, (got through straightaway) A very nice lady said she would put in a service request for us and to wait 15 days and if we do not hear anything to call them back. So we will see.

We went to our Infopass appointment this morning at our local District Office and handed our K-1 files over. The agent looked over the files and combined it with their existing AOS file but said they still needed the "T-1" file from National Benefits Center to complete the process and already made a request for it. The agent took copies of our joint credit cards, state ID's, and health insurance as evidence and said they would be able to make a decision as soon as the file arrives from NBC to complete the package. I recommend to anyone not getting any kind of traction on their case to go to their local USCIS District Office via an Infopass appointment to get face time with a USCIS agent.
