CONGRATULATIONS everyone on the approvals and receipt of cards, both GC and EAD/AP's

My hubby and I have been on vacation for the past week and our daughter was back here in Canada staying at the house with her brother.

I've just been online today, catching up on everything and thought for the heck of it, I'd check the USCIS website and see if anything has changed with her AOS status.

SOOOOOOO excited to report that she has an interview booked for March 19

Things are moving along quite nicely, for sure!!!

you'll be fine, i was the same about a week ago ! just relax and try to think positive. if you guys did your homework and submitted proof then you'll be fine !

things are going well here, i start a new job with a creative agency on friday, having passed the background check, which i was a little worried about, as i wondered whether having no real 'background' in the US would be a problem.. obv not. it's flexitime which allows me to keep doing my photography business, which is going great! my husband and i bought a new car at the weekend and i was able to be co-owner, and we now have join auto insurance as well, all extra evidence for AOS should we need it.

still no word on AOS though. i actually just realised while typing this that it has been 60 days since they received my RFE response, and on the status update page it says you will receive a response within 60 days. i never actually expected this to happen, but it may mean i have a valid reason to call USCIS today and see what they say. i'm pretty much expecting to wait another 6 months though, as a lot of UK K1 peeps seem to have had to. and i'm okay with that, as long as i can work and travel, i'm happy enough!

good luck to those with interviews soon, and hope everyone is continuing to settle in well.

I'm in the same position as you, I called last week about the rfe review not changing, they sent in a service request and said I would hear something by feb 20 or sooner, so we will see. It's very frustrating, glad I'm not alone.

Hey Sarah, glad to hear they at least put in a service request for you... i realised it actually dec 19th they received my response, so i'll wait until tomorrow to call. it's already been 60 day, but i feel like it's neater to call on the day of the month they received it... hope you hear something back soon!

Hi everyone, our interview date is 26 March!

For those who already has a job, do you need your social security number or just the EAD card is good enough? Because I am still waiting for my Social security card and they told me that could take 4 weeks!!

Yes, you will need your SSN to work i'm afraid. I suppose you could start applying to jobs anyway, given that it can take a while to get something you really want, but if you have something lined up and ready to go, i believe you'll have to wait until your SSN comes through to proceed any further. It was needed for every form at my new job!

I just called USCIS and they agreed that over 60 days since RFE response is out of processing times, but she said they are currently working on applications from Mid August 2012, and so I should expect to wait another 2-3 month to hear anything further. She said she'll put in a service request but didn't give me a date to hear anything by. She did say that everything looks fine with my application, and that the notes on it suggested they were satisfied with my response (they was no reason for them not to be - it was a very simple request for a passport copy).

I didn't expect anything more, and i'm not in a huge hurry since i have my combo card and have started work anyway. But at least I didn't wait forever on the phone to hear what i expected to hear anyway - i highly suggest ringing at 08.01 CST!

APPROVED!!!!!!!! Approved approved approved!!!! I'll tell ya'l about my experice when I get home, I'm typing on my iPhone and I hate doing that lol... But yay! AOS application approved, green card will be in the mail and I should received it by 8 weeks time!!!!r
