I think the bet should be who uses their card first for a job or travel, haha. Anyone use theirs yet?

Lol that sounds like a good idea. I sent in a job app beginning of jan before I got approved. I just sent a letter saying I will get approved between the 15 and 31 of jan , which I did. Now I have an interview next week so card will reach just in time .

Hey guys,

I will use my card for filing my paperwork in Marriott tomorrow! I am super excited to start again my "new old" job! Maybe I will be the first one this time! Apparently my lawyer didn't include AP application and that's why I have this note on my card that I can't use it to reenter the US! She didn't send the notification form either so ... I think there is a huge miscommunication!!! I sure wanted both but as a non-expert in the US immigration procedures I got a lawyer and here we go!!! No AP and no notifications form! I know they have hundreds of cases in their office and definitely mine is not the most important to them but for me is the only one and the most important!!! Every day of these 4 months seems like one year of my life! It might sound mean but I am not really happy about what I got for the couple of thousands we paid!!! I created my own profile in the USCIS site and waited 1 month to get any information from them! I hope there is nothing else that can be messed up till the end of this time money and patience consuming process!

Anyway, happy to start working again after 4 months and hope I won't have to travel before my Green card arrives one day eventually!!!

Congratulations to everybody for the updates from today and looking forward to read the interview experience! I remember someone had an interview today!

some great news, congrats everyone who has had an update! i sat my louisiana driving test today and all went smoothly :D i got rejected from the DMV with just the noa receipt before xmas, went back today with my EAD and the woman said she would have accepted just the receipt anyway! doh. got 100% on the written part (which was much easier than the UK version!) and passed the driving part despite reversing the 'UK way' i.e not doing the dramatic turn of your body when reversing, mostly relying on mirrors. i haven't had any photography clients request proof of residency from me, but i did use my EAD as ID to buy wine the other day, and the woman was very fascinated by it... not sure she believed it was real, but i was allowed the wine anyway! so happy to have a state iD now though, it's nice to be able to go about your life without explaining your immigration story at every turn...

so excited for everyone's progress, and sure that those still waiting will hear anything any day/hour/minute!!

p.s didi&bebe, i'd be very angry if i were you. i can't believe your lawyer didn't file AP for you, or even suggest it. it's FREE and just one little form more. i would definitely file on your own using VJ for questions you have when it comes to removal of conditions! or even from here on in. were you planning on bringing them to interview if you get one?

I am so happy for you and everybody here! This forum was my Facebook for the last couple of months!!!

If you ask if I was planning to go at the interview with my attorney ... I don't think so! I don't think they even offer that as an option! We never talked about that. As far as I know they just give us a list with the paperwork that we need and we go ourselves!

My main concern is about my passport! It expires April 18 and my husband just got a new job! He will be gone for at least 2-3 weeks in the begining of March. Once he leaves he can't come back for a day or two! I still don't have a date for the interview and they will probably send a letter soon which means the date will be in the begining of March! That means we gonna have to reachedule for later and my passport will expire before the interview!!! I checked with the Bulgarian embassy and I can renew it from here which takes 90 days! Still bad timeline! If I could go home now I can do express application for 5 days and be back on time with my new passport for the interview! Well the new passport wi be with different number from the one in the application we sent 2 months ago! I don't know if that would be a problem for them. Too many questions and I don't know where to get the answers! Anyway, as my friend says "We gonna cross that bridge when we get there!"

Still waiting to see post for the interview today!

Good luck!
