Hi everyone!

I received my card yesterday in the mail! Sooo happy! The name is correct and will see if there is anything wrong with the numbers tomorrow. I have to fill my paperwork with my employer and they will do E-verify so will see if everything is ok with the EAD. The only thing I am not happy about is that the card says "not valid for reentry to US" ... I thought it was EAD/AP!!! I still don't have date for interview and I don't know how long it will take to get one! My passport expires April 18 and I really need to go back home and apply for a new one! If I am not allowed to travel with this card what is the point of the AP part in the application? Is it different case? It probably means I can't leave the country before I get my Green card! What if something goes wrong and the interview takes forever?

You should have been issued a combo card with AP.

Did you only get issued an EAC card?

Did you apply for AP at the same time? It's a separate form that you fill out for AP.

So guys just want to let you know I received ead card in the mail on Saturday at noon. Hubby got the mail and there it was priority mail from USCIS. Yay!

Hi everyone!

I'd definitely look into this as I applied for both at the same time and my card arrived yesterday with the AP notification on the bottom. I'm assuming it says approved on the case status for your AP?

They have 90 days to make a decision from when you file, then you of course need to receive the document. Given it's a mission trip you may be able to talk to them about expediting it however you might just have to 'sit and wait'. Obviously it goes without saying that under NO circumstances should you leave the country without AP but I think an InfoPass appointment might be the way to go here

So the weirdest thing just happened.

After posting my message here out of desperation, calling the USCIS and asking for an update and also making an InfoPass appointment, guess what?

A few minutes ago I got the texts saying that my EAD/AP has been approved!

Unbelievable!

Congratulations, I'm very happy you have an answer at last!

Not to be a debbie downer, but PLEASE do NOT leave the country unless your card is in hand and correct. If there are any errors at all it can and will cause issues on your attempt to re-enter the country and could even prevent you from re-entering entirely. Play it safe!

Anyways, after seeing photomile just post about getting a text, I decided to check the site again (yes, 3rd time today :blush: )

I'M SOOOOOOO EXCITED AND HAPPY!!!

Both EAD and AP show that Jan 28, she was approved!!! Now just to wait for the card! Thanking God for this good news!!

I know, I will not leave until I have it in hand and everything is correct. I have read a lot of bad stories about it, so I am really scared of taking unnecessary risks.

Hi all! Congrats to everyone getting interviews and ead! Exciting! Uscis just updated our I-485 saying they got my RFE response yesterday. Today makes day 61...hoping to hear good news on ead soon!
