Congrats to everyone getting their EAD/AP approvals and cards. I really am happy for you!!

Still waiting here and it's hard not to get frustrated. Day 70 today. I know that online isn't always up-to-date, but my daughter hasn't received a text regarding her card, either.

It's just hard when I'm now seeing those who sent in there applications AFTER us, getting their EAD/AP stuff. I understand about the AOS, there's different timing depending on interviews, etc.... , but not with the the EAD/AP...... shouldn't they be just approved/denied in order??

Here's what the site still says for us :(

On November 16, 2012, we received this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

Have a good weekend, everyone! Hopefully next week will bring good news for us

Wow I don't know why you haven't got approved yet. I apply like a week after you I think. I hope yours come pretty soon for your daughter.

Nicely done!! I wish mine would go into production!

Photomile -

I was quite suprised myself - I've been checking on it every day and this morning it was still in the "Initial Review" stage and then suddenly this afternoon it was approved and in production. I'm sure yours will be in production soon too!

disappointing experience at DPS in Texas today. I received my EAD/AP combo card today (yay!) so I went to the DPS to get my DL renewed, it expired Dec 20, 5 Days after I graduated. Everything was fine until they put in my A# and their system which is apparently linked to USCIS's data base showed that there was no record of that A#, so they put in a secondary id inquiry which is basically a manual check with USCIS to see if my card is legitimate or not. I was so upset I started to cry, I have no idea what came over me but I broke up at the DPS! How humiliating. :( I tried to call USCIS afterward but after waiting for 45mins, I gave up and will wait for the DPS to call me back Monday morning ... SIGH

Don't be embarrassed, it's how it gets to us all! People don't realize what it's like unless you are doing the process, especially after doing the K1 process it drains you and it's all consuming. Deep breath, tomorrow is another day to try again. *hug*

Got my EAD card yesterday, but the first name and last names are all wrong!!!!!!!!!! Can i still get my social with my correct name ???

Wrong name ... non existing A# ... What's going on? We were waiting forever for this cards to start our normal life and now some more bad news! I am so sorry to hear that! I hope mine is fine! I am pretty sure that it's not good idea to apply for SSN with wrong name! Try to use your passport. I applied for SSN with my passport and they just took a look at my work permit when I arrived 17 months ago. Your passport is your official ID till the interview so you better use it.

Good luck!

I am so frustrated at this point in time, I have called 1. USCIS twice bc the 1st time, they cut my call while waiting for a tier 2 rep after I called back, I eventually got to speak to a tier 2 rep re: S.A.V.E not having any record of my A#. I ask if he could tell me why there is no record and all he told me was to call S.A.V.E. He gave me the number to call and I did. Guess what? The number he gave me was the USCIC main line number. I did not recognize it at first bc I call the hotline for Military members! :crying: :crying: :crying:

I then googled the contact information for S.A.V.E and called that number. The rep told me that they were unable to release information to me and that only the agency that I have applied for a benefit(s)/ license has the ability to request information.

Guys, I literally feel like hitting my head on a wall!

Oh, also, I am currently on the line with my local DPS office.

And a little tidbit in case ya'll get into this mess ( I really hope you dont). S.A.V.E is an intergovernemntal agency and is still in it's pilot stages and as such, runs inefficiently. Many foreign nationals have reported that secondary verification of particulars is necessary (what I am going through now) and this secondary check may take up to 20 federal business days. So, if ya'll have your EAD/AP cards and want to get a DL, and your state participates in the S.A.V.E program, maybe ya'll wanna get things started.

I have no words to describe this run-around situation except that it feels like the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing . And I am so grateful for this sounding board bc yes, it really does seem like I am at the end of my ability to remain calm and patient in the process. THanks guys
