Just a little update: About 1 month ago I received a letter from the Texas DPS concerning the renewal of my Drivers License. It will expire Dec 20, 2012 as per my I 20. Having received a hard copy of I 979C, and having read the DPS criteria for AOS persons, I thought the I 797C would be sufficient proof but it was NOT. The staff at my local DPS tried their best (called Regional managers and Austin) but its this new system they have and it was decided that I had to provide them with my I 979A.

I was super disappointed. Hopefully I get a hard copy of I 797A before Dec 14, because I leave Texas for California on Vacation. Fingers crossed and prayers said.

Dec 18 Package sent

Dec 19 Package received at VSC

Dec 23 Checks cleared

Dec 27 NOA1 received- Dated 12/23/2014

April 2- Biometrics completed

August 24- Update from USICS "My card is being produced"

September 3- Green Card in Hand!

Nov 5- Medical evaluation with Civil Surgeon. TB skin test & Blood test administered
Nov 7- Medically cleared. I 693 form sign and sealed
Day 0 Nov 9- AOS Package delivered to Chicago. Signed by S. Bush at 10:26 C.T
Day 5 Nov 14- Email/ text notifications received at 21:17 C.T (Official receipt notice Form I 797 to follow in mail)
Day 7 Nov 16- Checks cleared
Day10 Nov 19- I- 797C (for I 130, I 485, I 131 & I 765) Received in hard copy mail
Day 17 Nov 26- I- 797C (for Biometrics appointment) Received in hard copy mail
Day 19 Nov 28- Walk-in Biometrics attempt: Successful. Lubbock, TX ASC. 1000-1013
Day 71 Jan 19- I- 797C Interview appointment letter. Feb 19 at local USCIS field office
Day 77 Jan 29- EAD/AP combo card received. DPS unable to issue renewal or license. S.A.V.E verification required
Day 91 Feb 12- DL renewed. Applied for SSN - pending S.A.V.E verification
Day 98 Feb 19- AOS interview & approval !!!!!!!
Day 108 March 1- Green Card in Hand!

So guys just want to let you know I received ead card in the mail on Saturday at noon. Hubby got the mail and there it was priority mail from USCIS. Yay!

So here is a little correction in my timeline! Apparently our lawyer didn't send the AOS package Nov 9 as she said. She sent it Nov 14 and they just got it there Nov 19 ... the big waiting starts again :( At least I saw the delivery confirmation already and I am sure it was there Nov 19! I hope Christmas holidays won't delay our cases too much :(

19 Feb '15 - Biometrics appointment received (scheduled for March 5th) - I had to call twice to ask what is going on with it. My local office was too busy!
20 Feb '15 - Biometrics appointment #2 received (scheduled for March 9th) - Different case number plus the one from the first letter... Very confusing!
05 Mar '15 - Biometrics appointment in NOLA. They asked me for the second letter with both case numbers. Very complicated explanation!

Oh no, these lawyers :angry: thats one of the same reason I fired mines and start to do-it-myself. I don't need a procrastinator at all. But, noa's is coming your way soon.

Hi All

I have to Change my address as i got a project in a differnt city by January 2013.

Can anyone tell me if i can change my address at this stage when my AOS is applied and i have my Biometric appointment in Dec. I heard that USPS do not forward the mails from USCIS to the new address.

Now waiting and hoping she receives her biometrics appointment letter by the end of this week :whistle:
