So guys just want to let you know I received ead card in the mail on Saturday at noon. Hubby got the mail and there it was priority mail from USCIS. Yay!

Does anyone know if I can start working now? Or do I have to have the card? I already have a social security number, I assume I will get a new ss card from the DMV when I go to get an id.

You assume that you'll get a new SS Card from the DMV? do you mean SSN Card? You already have it? Will you get new one then?

I'm on F1 Student Visa. and I have my SSN card in 2007. And I think thats the SSN I'll use for life. isnt that right?

We checked our status today and it says our AP/EAD has been approved. AOS is still in acceptance though so hopefully we get approved without RFE's or interview eventually :D

Our Visa Journey
2007 - Met on online forums and became friends, started chatting on MSN.
2009 - Became 'boyfriend & girlfriend' and started discussing me (Anna) going to the US to visit.
2010 summer - Went to the US for the first time, stayed for a month.
Got engaged july 26th 2010.
2011 - Visited for the second time, stayed 2 months.

You assume that you'll get a new SS Card from the DMV? do you mean SSN Card? You already have it? Will you get new one then?

I'm on F1 Student Visa. and I have my SSN card in 2007. And I think thats the SSN I'll use for life. isnt that right?

Yeah I think we use the same number but. I assume they issue a new card after they see the ead.

Day 101: recieved text/email that AOS interview is April 2nd.

Day--- : AOS approved for green card. Got stamp in passport.

This might be off topic but when can i get my SSN? Im on visitors visa and I applied AOS. Sent all packages Nov 15. Interview on Jan 29. EAD and I130 still on initial review

When you get ead... If you don't get one si your interview being so soon, you may have to wait for your greencArd.

Congratulations to everybody who has their EAD cards approved. I am excited too! It means that somewhere something is moving! Looking forward for mine! I can't wait to go back to my old job! I hope they will wait for me :(

05 Mar '15 - Biometrics appointment in NOLA. They asked me for the second letter with both case numbers. Very complicated explanation!

when you received the actual card in hand there should be a local Social Security office in your town. Google it :)

I finally got my biometrics letter! Even though the date the letter produced was Jan 4th I didn't recieve it until Friday, and my appointment is for this Friday!

I guess they really did have a backlog after the holidays as peoples EADs are being approved now also. I hope you hear soon!

No, nothing, which I guess is why I haven't received any email or text notifications regarding the letter. Strange part is all of my three kids have an appointment too, even though they never paid the fee and that its seems odd to be fingerprinting a 5 year old :)

Oh well family trip out to USCIS on Friday :)
