Wow, haven't heard that yet. Think positive..

thanks... trying my best )))

Could it because you already interviewed for your K-1 visa? Maybe they decided they didn't need to interview you again and are going to issue you a GC without an interview.

that would be too good to be true. I looked up the same cases here on VJ and surprisingly interview cancellation is quite a common thing. Some people were "lucky" enough to have their interview rescheduled twice. Some people reported the reason behind cancellation was that their case had not been received (which is weird, why would the first interview be scheduled to begin with?!), one person said that the work load shifted to work on other cases. I will post the reason of my cancellation as soon as I know something.

What's more important, is the VJ advice in such cases is to show up at the original date regardless. Some cases were denied for not attending the CANCELLED interview..

Huh, weird. I kind of hope that doesn't happen to me because my husband just changed his number (I put his down on the paperwork) and we may be moving soon (but after we'll likely receive the mail notice of the interview time/location). You may be one of the lucky ones that doesn't need an interview though. :)

I really wish that doesn't happen to anyone else. Very frustrating. I got today two letters, one that schedules interview, and one that cancels it. Looks like once they pushed button, they changed their mind...

Is there any possibility they are doing this to slow down the EAD's? I was under the impression they had to make a decision on those within 90 days, and that if an interview is scheduled before that for the I-485 it puts that on hold. I feel like they've done it to give themselves more time

That's a really important tidbit to know that you still have to show up despite the CANCELLED interview. Thanks for letting us all know! Ps. Keeping fingers crossed for you for a new interview date asap!

Hey stargirl just a suggestion, I would call customer service and ask to speak to a tier 2 representative,to find out what's going on, just for a peace of mind. Sometimes it could be and error on their path.

Yeah, I need to do that, thanks for suggesting. The person who I spoke today with just read my online status update and not a word further.

Hey, I got my Biometrics appointment rescheduled the same days like your and I did it December 26 after the Christmas holidays. I was wondering when did your status change for the EAD and have you already received your interview letter. I am adjusting from J1 not from K1 so I hope my EAD will be approved some time this week :( I applied for super nice job and they said I am hired as soon as I get the card. I don't know how long they will wait for me though... Definitely not 2 or 3 weeks!!!

20 Feb '15 - Biometrics appointment #2 received (scheduled for March 9th) - Different case number plus the one from the first letter... Very confusing!
05 Mar '15 - Biometrics appointment in NOLA. They asked me for the second letter with both case numbers. Very complicated explanation!
