Although our biometric appointment is 2weeks away in Baltimore,MD, we were able to walk-in at Alexandria in Virginia. We were in and out in less that 10 minutes.

You mean the biometrics for the AOS (from k1 visa)??? If so, we did the same. I did not want to wait till the scheduled date and fortunately we were able to do the walk-in at the local USCIS office.

Please update your timeline as it still shows k1 visa status.

Status updated to AOS. We were surprised, since our appointment is supposed to be in Baltimore in 2weeks not in Virginia. All the same, we are happy to get that outta the way.
