Hello Everyone, I have few questions regarding I-864 and I-864a. My wife (a US citizen) needs to file I-864 for both parents but since she is unemployed I will be filing I-864a. What I want to know is if I need to file two I-864a (one for each parent). Line 13 asks for names of all persons being supported and I have listed both of their names. Is this sufficient?

If I need to file two forms then do I still include both names in #13 of both forms? Or one name on each form?

Do I need to submit evidence of relationship and same residence?

Do I need to send two copies of every evidence: paystubs, tax transcripts, bank statement, job letter etc? Or just one set is fine. Please help.

Two sets of everything. You filed two separate petitions. Each petition has to have its own supporting evidence.

Thank you for the fast response. It is clear that two I-864As need to be filed. So I have follow up questions just to make sure I correctly fill out the forms.

1) Both parents will be immigrating together. But on each I-864, #9 will be blank and the name of the other parent should not be included. Correct? In this case, only one person is being added to the household size. Currently, there are myself, my wife and my child in our house. So total size would now be 4. Would it be the same on the second I-864? If not, where should I include the other parent to show that the total household size would be 5?

2) My wife is unemployed. So her income is zero. But on #25, the joint income as reflected on the tax returns need to be stated. Correct?

3) On #13 of I-864A, only one parent per form should be specified. Is this correct?

4) Do I need to submit evidence of relationship and residency? Is bank statement acceptable as residency evidence?

I appreciate your time and response.
