Hi pprcp,

I do not think that you will have any problem, however they are asking you for an ID for the fingerprints, if your Id's have only your married name I think that it would be safer to bring your marriage license.

Thank you so much..... I was wondering why they used my former name instead of marriage name. when I filed for my I-751 I also send my marriage license, and marriage certificate together with all my evidence. I'm going to take my green card, state ID, and marriage license on my biometrics appointment and correct the mistakes. My husband told me that everything will be okay, and I'm very worried.

thank you once again

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Hi,

Went yesterday to have fingerprints at New York, I did not calculate the traffic and got there 40 mins late, I was so worried, but they did not make a big deal of it. I filled a form, scan finerprint, signed in a little scner, and had a picture all that in less than 10 min.

Mailed the packet today, Monday, 12/18/2006, to CSC. What about that timing, huh? I picked the busiest mail day in the busiest mail week of the year. With luck we'll hear something by Easter.

From now on I will not only be an nscvet but a calvet as well. I wonder if I can find a way to send something to the other two centers?

Good luck to everybody else out there.

Yes the fee changed to $275 to include a $70 charge for biometrics. I had already purchased a money order for $205, but something happened that made me decide to redo one of the pages of the I-751 form and when I downloaded it, found it was a newer version with a fee increase.
