I was checking my email on the train going to work this morning and got a nice suprise to the day.

Receipt Number: MSC************

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to

Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 31, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have

passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National

Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status

results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from

USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National

Customer Service Center.

Finally after 6 months no more immigration stuff for another 18 months. So will it be a 7 -14 days before i get my greencard?

Thank you to everyone on VJ for helping me through the process and best of luck to anyone going through the process. Its a long long road but well worth it. The key is PATIENCE

10-20-2008 - Sent package via usps - overnite mail

10-22-2008 - Package received and signed.

10-28-2008 - Cheque cashed

12-02-2008 - Biometrics in Boston

10-03-2009 - Transferred to CSV

10-04-2009 - 10 year GC on the way

As far as I know, they come separately and should be to you within the next couple of weeks or so.

2-28-2009 Sent in I-751

3-14-2009 Received I-751 back because they can't read

3-16-2009 Re-Sent I-751

3-17-2009 Received by Vermont

Waiting and watching the calendar flip ever so over closer to 4-2-2009 (When my 2 yr GC expires) . . .

4-2-2009 Received I-751 back AGAIN! Oh and my GC expired today.

4-3-2009 Re-Sent I-751

4-4-2009 Received by Vermont

4-6-2009 Date of NOA-1 Extension Letter (Rec'd 4/13/09)

4-10-2009 Check Cashed

4-24-2009 Date of Biometrics letter (Rec'd 4/30/09)

5-11-2009 Biometrics Appointment in Louisville.

Congrats, I had my interview last Friday and have not yet received the welcome letter in the mail nor the greencard. It usually takes more than just a few days, don't be surprised if you receive the letter in the next few days and the card in weeks, ok? as you said, the key is patience, you're almost there (and so am I).

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

Our AOS was approved on 24th October; I got the Welcome Notice this past Monday 30th October. My Green Card didn’t come with the welcome notice but on the notice it stated that the Green Card should arrive within the next 3 weeks. At the interview I was told to wait about 3 or 4 weeks for it to come.

I’m sure it shouldn’t take much longer till you get the card. :dance: Just one more wait and it's all over with for a few years at least! :D
