Thanks for all the well wishes but it's a denial for us.

I am not clear yet on the full details but she's going to email me a "yellow" form that they gave her. In between sobbing I was able to hear that the CO had a concern about finances. I make more than the requirement , I submitted 3 years of taxes, employment letter, etc, so not sure what it is all about until I get a copy of the "yellow" form.

I do not wish the feeling that came over me when I heard the news on my worst enemy.

I am open to any and all suggestions on next steps. I am not giving up and will fight a good deliberate fight so I need your combined direction on how best to proceed. I am still in shock..

Thanks once again.

Here's what I got back via email.

They tabled the option of marriage but until I know the specific reason how can I be sure that even that will be enough for them?

"Thank you for your email.

According to our records, this case will be returned through the National Visa Center. It will take several weeks for DHS/USCIS to receive and determine action on your petition.

In most cases DHS/USCIS will not contact the petitioner upon receipt of the petition because of the short validity period of K-1 petitions. You are allowed to file a new petition, or marry Applicant and file for her to immigrate as your spouse.

We would advise that you contact DHS/USCIS with any additional inquiries as the case is considered closed in Lagos.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us any time. "

Hello Gowon. I am so sorry. I like that fighting spirit they can not win or stop I good.

Now do you think given your age difference, you both Nigerian if they maybe think you are already married? This seems to come up a lot.

I don't mean by the age difference as a point of denial but I have noticed a pattern with not just Lagos but many embassies and it seems when it comes to us older mature folk K1 they seem to not take us so seriously.

Well just thoughts. I know without specifics that u may or maynot find out its hard to say.

Again I am very sorry. Stay strong. And God bless you both.

Never think that God's delays are God's denials. Hold on; Hold fast; Hold out. Patience is Genius.
