Yeah sorry I meant partisan .. and that's what I meant: Elections over the choice is made, republicans need to compromise and not play blocker for the next four years.

Well, they said that they were focused on making Obama a one term President. That bet is clearly off now so we'll see whether they lied about that.

I knew that Obama would be winning. I wasn't sure how many swing states he would be able to reel in, but I knew it would set a clear message that We The People are more than the 1%, the dummified white folks who watch Fox Noise, and the bible-hugging Southeners.

No presidential candidate will ever again be able to ignore that this country has become a melting pot of people from all walks of life, all ethnic backgrounds, all religions, and various sexual orientations. We are all Americans, and we all want a President who is our President.

Now that Obama doesn't have to worry about getting corporate money for a reelection, you can be assured that his second term will go into the history books as much significant, a change for America from a conservative, corporate-controlled country to one that is on the path to catch up with other industrialized nations such as Canada, Australia, and all of the countries of the European Union.

Case in point, I already have word for a "public option," a government-provided health care plan that is in tune with the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (Romneycare/Obamacare), and I can't wait to sign up.

Let me predict 2 thing here and now:

1) Once Americans have become a taste of what it's like to be able to get affordable health care, not to worry to get sick and be rejected or get broke, there is no way of going back, ever. Since F.D.R. created a viable, government-run retirement program, Americans simply don't want to miss this anymore.

The same way will happen to health care. Nobody who lives in a country with universal health care or a public option could even imagine being without it, having to worry about getting sick, having to worry about going bankrupt, having to worry about getting cancer and dieing because nobody will provide cancer treatment to them, not even the "ER."

2) Unless the Republicans really wake up and get their sh*t together and stop being obstructionists instead of actively helping to move the country forward, the American people will thank them in 2014 by giving the House to the Democrats as well. Then watch what is going to happen between 2014 and 2016.

More so, watch what will happen in 2016, when the Republican party will have become a party of insignificance and despair.

Republicans, listen: you can have a different plan, you can disagree, you can do a lot of things, but you can't be unreasonable, you can't be insane, and you can't try to bring your religious crazyness into American politics. It won't work.

Mark my words.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

They have few options. If they don't strike a deal that the President will sign, these tax cuts will expire - all of them - and guess who will bear the blame?

Obama. After all, his pen is the final word. If the house and senate bring something to his desk, it's ultimately his fault.

If it doesn't end up on his desk, well that becomes the part of the obstructionist Senate for not bringing up legislation for a vote.

The Republicans will go on record rejecting tax relief for 95% of America. They will face the voters in 2014. Obama will face the voters - well, never again.
