It'll be because he had to head over too far to the right to clinch the Republican nomination and then flip-flop on each and every policy position to appeal to the general electorate. He lost because nobody winning the nomination in today's GOP can win a general election contest for President. The GOP is off the chart and too extreme. That's the lesson the GOP won't learn. And that is why they will not win the Presidency in 2016 either.
