nvc processing time for parents in-law ir-5

Hi, guys

wife is currently petitioning for her parents to come to u.s.a. We opted in for Eletronic processing and just sent out Aos I-864 and I-864a and Ds-230 packages through email two days ago. We are just wondering how long it will take for nvc to complete the process and schedule the interviews.

looking back at those scanned documents. I just realized that I left one question unanswered in the D-230 form for the mother in-law. It was the last question asking her wether she had assistance filling that form which it was me. will I get RFE for not answering that question? What should I do in the meantime to correct that now that I knew that question was not filled in. Should I wait for the Rfe (if there's going to be one) or simply send them another d-230 form pre-emptively. I was hoping maybe we got lucky and dont get any RFe because of that.

Will we notified through email if their case were completed and interviews were scheduled? or snail-mail?..

The petitioner should call in to NVC, and ask for casefile status, looking / listening for:

1. case complete

2. final review complete

FOR GZO EP casefiles, appointment scheduling occurs within 5 business days of 'final review complete'.

To know more, have the Petitioner use a telephone, call into NVC, inquire.

I just received emails from nvc confirming that they have received the AOS and IV scanned packages. it states that it will take up to 20 business days to load them into the electronic casefile. that's like a month..does it usually take that long?...

I was wondering if we are gonna get RFe for an unanswered question on the ds230..I forgot to check the box on the monther in-law's form wether she needed assistance to fill the form out...which she did..I filled it out for her...hopefully that's something that they will skip and let go so we don't get any Rfe for that?...

how long should we wait to call to find out about the casefile status?...should we give it a week or so?...its only been 3 days since we sent the package.

timeticks for NVC EP:

IMO, that's no more than a 2 week delay. Cool and Coolish, all things considered for how paper files sit in that bonded warehouse in China, when EP casefiles get immediate appointment date set after final review.

Did you ever see the timeticks for EP ?
