Hi,

any one has any idea when New York Federal Plaza 26 is going to open ?

I have seriously started to panic now.

My interview is on 15th of Nov this month and after the storm this office has been closed.

They have missed the full week already and tomorrow is also close so just 10 days to go for me and I'm panic :s

Any news ?

The NY office in Queens just reopened today, I saw they posted this info on their website, the other ones should follow shortly. I can totally relate to what you're saying, all of us NY filers have probably been delayed by the fact that the offices were closed after Sandy :( . Fingers crossed they reopen soon and your interview goes on as planned!!!

long island city location all fine? Any one interviewed there these days? How is your experience?

The traffic here in NYC is still terrible..

I am a NY filer as well. I can understand the concern. Although, a resident of Queens, I have had interviews and cases handled by the Long Island office in Garden city(which has moved to Holtsville now). I wonder if they closed down, because Long Island was badly effected by Sandy. Many places are still without power and then there is an issue of availability of Gas in these regions. My best guess would be that interviews would rescheduled and priority given to displaced applicants. However, its yet to be seen whether, they will move all dates forward or only the ones that were effected due to closure of offices. hihello: I just have a feeling that your interview might be on time and if you haven't heard anything so far, they wont push you to a forward date. Would be too much of paperwork for these offices. Would make more sense to just reschedule the applicants effected due to office closures.
