I wanna advice you, it sounds that during the 4 hrs interview , your husband screwed up, and he is not telling you the whole picture.you need to consider the worst, the issue now that they suspect a fraud marriage, so they might deny the case. I recommend you to have an honest chat with your husband, Maybe they think, since your husband is in so much debts, that you paid him to got you a GC. I don't understand why your husband, if he is in such a situation, doesn't file a bankruptcy, what pride has to do with that. Moreover, you need to find a good immigration lawyer better than the one that you went for. take this issue serious, and as I told you always consider the worst.

Hi, you might be right but if my husband would have screwed it up on his 4 hr interview, officers wouldn't have taken the time to stop by my house, they would have denied the petition right then, well that's my logic but who knows what they had in mind.

Thanks God bless

Ever considered involving your husband's congressman or senator? Also use his prior military service.

Write up entire immigration case history - from entry to marriage to AOS to interviews, home visits. Use all confirmation numbers, case numbers that you have. Make copies of all documents you have submitted to USCIS. Then make your way to the local office of the congressman and request to speak with the immigration aide and present your case. Get his/her contact information and stay on top of them either calling or emailing them every couple of days for updates.

Good luck!

You said that your husband registred a car to a different address, and then on the day the officers show up, he hadn't spent the night at home? Going through the dirty laundry was probably to determine whether or not your husband had laundry at the household. To them, it looks as more of a coincidence that he wasn't home THAT night. Even more so, when they're at your door, they had to be suspecious before showing up. Remember, USCIS has access to most your info - both of you. You arriving in the states as a single mother of two, finding a man that's going through medical treatment and was in debt; might be a combination which looked like you were looking to stay in the US one way or the other. I'm not saying that's the case and I'm not judging you, just that it might have looked that way to the officer who originally interviewed you.

I admit that my husband keeps some of his clothing around from when he was lighter. However, you can see the increase in weight. 34, 36, 38 in the size of pants because he doesn't want to throw stuff away and hoping to fit into it again. We also have a socalled goodwill-bag which is clothing we give to charity, having both stepson's, mine and husband's clothes in it all tossed together.

I admit, going through your kids' underwear is crossing the line and I would've put my foot down and politely closed the drawer and said no or answering the questions without having to go through the underwear had it been my stepson's, and then offered any other drawer.

Your lawyer aren't granted any kind of special info through USCIS, not more than what you can do yourself. I'd follow milimelo's advise and stay on top of your own case.

I hope your sort this out and wish you best of luck. Did you arrive on a tourist visa(B2) or VWP?

Hi, I arrived here single with no kids, with a tourist visa more than 12 years ago, had a relationship and got two kids from that relationship, my kids were born here.

I know about Goodwill too but I rather send the clothes to my home country as I have relatives that could use them and that's what I have been doing all these years, as you said it might be the wrong combination of events that might have led IO'S to have the wrong impression or idea.

Oh, my mistake regarding the kids.

Yeah. I'm just sorry about the situation. There are factors we don't see because we don't consider them as red flags. I wish you'd known about Visa Journey long ago.

your story sounds like you try to get immigration benifits based from a tourist visa and overstayed, but i dont mean your marriage is not bona fide, if i were the IO I will do the same thing like what they did on you, and now hows the consequence? and the second interview is like a STOKE interview, once they put your interview in STOKE, which means they dont believe the marriage, but dont worry about this, coz i knew alot of couples got the same situation like yours, even if a bona fide marriage applicant, also do you know everything about your husband? like criminal record or if your husband is not american born, how did his US citizenship come from? questions like these will also be considered by IO, so all you need to do is try to get more evidence to prove your marriage. good luck. if your 485 got denied, just appeal to BOA within 30 days, once your case transfer to BOA, it will be a brand new case, remember dont lot another chance good luck!

and also let me tell you something honestly, like family and friends who can be a testimony for your marriage, i got the same situation like you , my first interview took 3 hours and 130 485 got denied, and we appealed to BOA with affidavit letter and photo from my wife's dad, he is a US Special Force Commander, and he took so many photos with president BUSH, and my case got proved right away, hahaha, so funny. back to topic all you need to do is try to get more evidence, better find someone who can prove your marriage.

Hi, sorry for not reading you before I had some medical issues that prevented me from checking the site, what is the meaning of BOA. My husband was born in USA and we have a lawyer that keeps on contacting the officer every 6 weeks but no answer at all.

We have everything as the lawyer said a lot of evidence more than what other couples he represent had,but officer didn't want to see even our pictures along the years we had tons when we had our interview, he didn't care for them. My husband doesn't have a criminal record at all and I know that for fact he is a retired militar.

Our lawyer sent copies of the pictures along with Bank statements, lease agreements for all this years that we have been married, Credit card statements, bills, affidavit letters from my in laws, friends it was a HUGE package and lawyer thought that this info was enough but still no answer. Still waiting will let you know as soon as I get something .

What does this mean please "if your 485 got denied, just appeal to BOA within 30 days, once your case transfer to BOA, it will be a brand new case"

THANK YOU VERY MUCH GOD BLESS

It does seem odd your husband had a feeling something like this could happen. Seriously - call me first and don't let them in if they show? That's an immediate huger red flag before they even enter.

I dissagree with you here ! There`s alot scums who present themselved as someone other and i think he did right saying to not let them in house. You dont leave in a fairytail whre everything is perfect but in cruel world where you have to think about everything. After all it was SHE that was ALONE in the house so why would she let any strangers in their home regardless of being USCIS officers ?!? Think about it !

Hi Shuki, if you are going to reply please do so constructively, at least take the time to read the entire story so you can see who my husband was refering to when he warned me about, we never had the slightests idea that the IO'S would ever visit us

Thanks
