Hi,

My father's case was completed by NVC on 10/4/2012 and forward to Guangzhou embassy. Does anyone know how long does it take for the embassy to contact us? The NVC letter stated not to contact the embassy and check the bullentin board for the case priority date, but the board doesn't have any information on IR-5 cases.

Thanks

Did you use Electronic Processing with the NVC (it's available for IR-5 cases in China)? If so, you should receive an email anytime indicating an interview has been scheduled.

No EP? 1 to 4 months.

Give DoS Hotline a call, give over the GUZ/GZO #, ask for casefile status.

Do that twice a week until you hear of 'appointment date'

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
