Hi Vjs

I filed my application on 4 years 9 months time. Im waiting to hear about my interview and it has been 35 days since my fingerprint but still no update. Will the interview be scheduled 1 month after 5 years date or does someone know if people did get their interviewbefore the anniversary date and then the oath after? I really dont want to wait until my 5 years before being scheduled for interview. Then whats the point of applying on 4 years and 9 months?

most of the time it takes 4 to 5 months, after you sent your n-400 you should have received noa-1 receipt, then about 5 weeks you will receive a letter appointment to take your biometrics finger prints and photo, after that you wait for the interview date letter,be sure to study the civil test,if you look on the uscis check case status online, you can track your case,

GET, HOLD, OF, YOUR, CONGRESSMAN, AT, ONCE.

Look, more than a year is considered ridiculous. But almost 5 years?

Seriously, get hold of your congressman and seek help right away.

If you don't do something about it, USCIS is just going to kick your applications around till the end of time. They did the same to my I751 and my congressman helped to solve the issue.

The processing times are normally 3-5 months. I don't think they will wait for your 5-year mark before they schedule you for interview. It just depends on your field office's processing time. My sister had to wait for 5mons after her biometrics before she heard anything from uscis. She's still waiting for her interview letter.

What I have learnt from the forum, the interviews are normally held at the DOs after the GC anniversary dates; some DOs issue the oath letter right away after a successful interview.

In case interviews are scheduled before the anniversary date, you will be in line again for the oath ceremony.
