Visitor Visa for Girl Friend

Hi,

I am an Indian graduate student here on an F-1 visa. Currently, I am working on CPT in one of the prominent organisations here in US. My GF is an Indian passport holder and is currently working in Dubai, UAE(since last 4 months) and had been working in India previously.

I was thinking about applying a tourist visa for her so that she can visit me for a week or two. How difficult is it for her to get a tourist visa for a very short duration?

Would it aid if it is mentioned that she has her BF here or would it be better for her to apply for an independent visa?

Any comments are appreciated.

You cannot apply for a visa for her. You can do nothing for her. She can apply for a tourist visa on her own merits. You do nothing in the process.
