Agree. Painful but true. rediculous movement only 4 weeks oh my God.look like they playing.they don't even make it for a 5 weeks. my friend i already smelled it 22 Sep 10

In my view four weeks' movement is good. Of course we all hope for more, but whenever I think about the fact that we only have 88 000 visas per year and there are over 300 000 documentarily qualified applicants on the waiting list (see http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/WaitingListItem.pdf), I am surprised that the cut-off dates move at all. Besides, I am pleased if the wait for an F2A visa stays under 2.5 years - when my husband and I got engaged, the wait was over four years, and the lawyer we consulted told us that it would never get shorter. We never wanted to spend the first couple of years of our married life apart, but since there was no way around it, I am at least happy that the cut-off dates are moving steadily and we can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

Athena - Correct me if I am wrong; The 3,00,000 count are not documentarily qualified applicants ONLY. The count is a mixture of all. There are no statistics as to how many are actually qualified and only waiting for their PD's to be current, which can be very low...

Yes, I'm in the agreement with you. We all should be happy that it's moving forward..some people will complain no matter how far the PD is moved forward..The last bulletin mentioned clearly that the next bulletins will move ONLY UP TO 4-6 weeks and it has moved to 4 weeks so far...Max 6 weeks and min 4 weeks.

F2A PD 9th Feb 2011

Case completed at NVC

Spouse has B2 visitor visa and successfully visited USA twice.

They did not say ONLY, they said that it will be the worst case scenario.

This is what I always thought before, but when I read the first page of the report again a few weeks ago, it seemed clear that in fact they are only calculating documentarily qualified applicants. However, even if the figure includes people like me who are still waiting for their NOA2, 300 000 is a LOT against 88 000 visas.

Anyway, a new report should be available soon, maybe they'll word it more clearly this time.

There's nothing in the VB about a "worst case scenario". It clearly states that we can expect four to six weeks movement in the coming months, and this is what we are getting.

I do feel for those whose PDs are at the end of September or in October, try to hang in there until February!

You better go back and re-read the December visa bulletin it clearly states there "*The following advisory is based strictly on the current demand situation. Since demand patterns can (and sometimes do) change over time, this should be considered a worst case scenario at this point. "

I think you should better go back and look at it. Athena was correct.

the advisory you posted below is meant for Employment Fifth category- did not you look at superscript star (*).

For FB categories- it says the projection are based on current applicant demand patterns. The determination of the actual monthly cut-off dates is subject to fluctuations in applicant demand and a number of other variables which can change at any time.

Whatever the case, predictions are just predictions-not something written on stone. Many factors can change these predictions. Over the past two years, all predictions by THAT GUY IN DOS went wrong.

We all should be happy because F2A is moving at a slow and steady pace-that is a good sign atleat.

You better go back and re-read the December visa bulletin it clearly states there "*The following advisory is based strictly on the current demand situation. Since demand patterns can (and sometimes do) change over time, this should be considered a worst case scenario at this point. "

Hi Guys,

First of all, this forum has given me a lot of information, and more importantly, precious support to each other amongst all who's praying for a re-union. Thank you!

I'd appreciate if anyone can help me with the following questions:

1. usually what time of the day do you receive i/l? is it from consulate offices or from nvc? until when do they stop sending appointment for the following month?

2. has anyone from orginal country China received any i/l for Jan. 2013? our pd is sept 1 and we've not heard anything yet. Getting nervous!

Thanks again and wish everyone a happy holiday reunion with their loved ones!
