hey all. our joint sponsor just got his employment letter from work to send with the i-864. however its in a sealed envelope. seeing as everyone advises to make copies of all paperwork do u think i should open the envelope and make copies then send in the original without the sealed company envelope? or should i just send it in as is? thx.

Open, make a copy... send that and keep the original with your files...

your sponser will probably need a new one when it comes time for the interview...

Have you asked your joint sponsor what he/she wants you to do ... I read in the instructions for the I-184 that the sponsor can seal the info in an envelope if they don't want others (like you) to see the details of their finances ....

Yes you should definitely ask them if they don't want you to see it for some reason, if not then open it up and make copies!
