My EAD just got approved two days ago and we have GC interview in about a week. So I have been sitting home for nearly 3 months.

Luckily, I could get SSN and driving permit with the I-94 in my passport.

Do what I did, get yourself a puppy. That's a full time job.

We got a puppy a few days after I arrived and I have been taking care of him, teaching and playing with him.

I don't think I could have made it through the last couple of months waiting without my puppy.

You can only clean, read, internet so much. You need a full time hobby.

Thank you for starting this thread! My hubby has spent hours in front of the computer searching for a cheap car, he finally found a 1997 bmw like what he drove in Romania so he is spending his time fixing it up. He also is a very good cook and spends alot of time in the kitchen cooking for me. It has been and awesome and I'm not complaining but before he came here I lived alone so I never ate 3 cooked meals a day. I need him to get his EAD so he can go to work before my clothes stop fitting :)))

I can say we underestimated how hard the down time would be while waiting for him to be able to work.

We just got a text about 1/2 hour ago saying EAD/AP approved!
