If you want to apply for joint accounts, bank, utilities etc. You will need a social security card. If you wait until after your I-94 expires you won't be able to get the SS Card until you have received your Green card and that's a long wait for that. Having the joint accounts will be helpful when you have your interview. Glad to hear you are happy
