What do they do? Sit around and wait?

The usual thing is for the candidate to show up to a poll early and vote then go spend the day in hotel near where a few hundred or thousand supporters are gathered. They then get constant updates throughout the day as result come in.. After the results are known the loser calls the winner to let them know they concede.. they both give speeches to supporters.. The winners party.

A little different this year as Obama voted early so I would not be surprised if he came out and did a quick appearance with a "please vote" non-partisan type of message..

I always thought it was considered in bad taste to do campaigning on election day but that may be a regional thing here..
