i just have a short question ... im from Austria and waiting to go to the USA to be with my Wife and Son !

was just wondering how long it will take for me to travel to the USA after my PD will become current....

and one more thing :) how long does it take ( CHICAGO IL.) for the naturalization my wife applied N-400 july 31 and had biometrics august 31... no interview yet

maybe someone knows how long it will take .. thank you all

if you can please help me with my question !

After being current, expect it within 2 to 3 months at the most,...

Your wife's N400, if she had her biometrics on August, expect another 2 to 3 months to receive her interview notice,

then after the interview, expect around 3 weeks to a month for her oath taking, these are estimates, coz these are the

same duration we had to go through with my wife's naturalization last Oct. 24,...

My husband can apply for citizenship at the end of this month, and we've used the VJ timelines to estimate how long the process might take. Have a look at this link - you can filter the list to see cases that were handled in Chicago.

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

Oh, and to answer your first question: if your case has been completed in time, you should get an interview date for the month when your PD becomes current. If all goes well in the interview and you are approved, you might get your visa the next day (I read a couple of reviews of the consulate in Austria and they really seem to be that quick). Thereafter you can travel on the first flight you can get a ticket for :)
