What did she say that could possibly be used against her?

In no particular order:

1. DO NOT follow the advice of a bunch of strangers on this type of forum. Get professional advice from a state agency or marriage counselor or pasto/priest/rabbi.

2. DO NOT air out your dirty laundry on cases like this on a public forum. This can be used against you in a court of law.

3. DO NOT delay, get help today.

I came here to the USA happy in my marriage and excited to start a new life with my US husband. So many trial and tribulations have gone on since I arrived. My son came here too and I was excited about him going to college and living here in the USA. He was granted a 10 yr green card pretty much immediately because of my marriage.

My spouse has had lots of medical issues, but now I realize it's a lot of mental issues too. He has bad anger issues and emotional issues that he won't get addressed. I believe it's borderline personality disorder, or something like that..i'm not a Dr., but he is mean and I've been so scared and it's like living on eggshells everyday not knowing what kind of mood he's going to be in everyday. It's sickening and now last night he became irrational and physically threw my son down on the bed over a cell phone, he has now forced him out and I need to get him to a safe place.

I am a month out from submitting my ROC for my 10 year green card..it's so close. I'm afraid 1) my husband won't sign it now 2) he will sign it and then I "may" have to file for divorce as I am scared for my physical and mental well being. I just don't know how, immigration wise, any of this is now going to affect me. I don't know if through counselling we can save this, or not..there's just no answer at the moment on any of this.

It feels like i'm teetering here now everyday wondering what's going to happen with my future.

Please help, who can I talk to about this?

Thank you.

You can self-petition in cases of physical abuse. No need to put yourself or your child in danger. I would call the cops and have him arrested for battery.

1) A lot of 'strangers' here can give good legal advice, which most have done.

2) Ummm...what? She hasn't said a thing which can harm her case.

3) One of three.

Thanks for all of the advice, it's been helpful. I'm not here to bash my husband, I love him and always will. I was so hopeful when I moved here and would never have seen or known the mental side of him. I know he needs help, his neurologist called me and told me he needs help and for me to get out. My son is 18. I am scared not knowing the future, but I am scared not knowing if he will abuse me in the future or after my son leaves that he will settle down. So many things that are unknown of course. I did not marry him for immigration, I love him and planned on being with him the rest of my life..maybe this will all settle down, maybe he will consider getting mental help. I don't know.

I know with all of your advice I do have options. I have to think clearly and soon.

Thanks again for all your words of kindness.

What did she say that could possibly be used against her?

Because the poster was trying to scare her. A little ego trip.

She came on asking perfectly reasonable questions, someone showing real fear of a violent, disturbed spouse - which if anything helps support her case. If she was coming on saying "I tricked this stupid Americano into marrying me, emptied his bank account, stole his car, and ate his children" then sure - that could be used against her.
