Additional proof at interview

Here is something that I see repeated over and over again, and thought I would address it. When a spouse/fiance is asked to bring proof of a relationship to thier interview, why is it in most cases refused to be looked at. With the fact that its probably been close to a year since the initial petition was filed if they are recieving a 221g for validity issues, wouldn't it make more sense for the consulate to accept that additional proof? Or does it help the consular to give a denial by refusing to look at or attach that proof when handing a 221g? Any insight?

We are killing a lot of trees to convince them , just thought I'd add that. The least they could do is take it! Or if they don't want the additional proof at that time, then don't ask for them to bring it.

I agree with you...Funny,I was just writing an email to my mom explaining that they may or may not allow the evidence in my husband's hand but the last things she just sent me is defiantly appreciated by us.

The reviews of the casblanca consulate that I have just reviewed, basically have stated they haven't taken in any of the evidence from the recent interviewees. It appears they do their own research like on facebook accounts. That is even more true on CR1 interviews as they have processed all of the needed documents. The interview letter states to only bring in copies of doucments you want back as well as the interview letter. My wife is bringing some pictures and paystubs as well just to make sure, but it appears they won't even look at it.

They are probably looking more at body language and the answers to their questions then they actual evidence at this point.

validity issues really come into play on K-1 visas as there is no "legal contract" (marriage certificate) between the man and woman. At the cr-1 interview, they are really just confirming your know your spouse. I will have much more information on wednesday after my wife's interview.

I talked with Maryaz, and she stated that it appears the decision is made even before the interview takes place, which would not suprise me because they will have reviewed all of your documents before the interview.

I wish you the best for your interview, how nerve-wracking the interview is, I'm surprised they don't end up with people on the floor from the stress! I will definitely be

wishing you luck that day!

Who knows maybe they are one of the visa journey people pretending to be one of us...uggh what a thought. I have seen a few people asked if they brought more proof, when my husband has his interview I will definitely send him prepared in case that happens. Would hate to delay it just because they wanted to read more chats or see more phone bills~

The casa embassy tends to act fast in regards to needing more information. I don't see them wanting chat logs or phone logs in a CR1 case, but if they do, I am ready to send them to my wife. Phone logs for us are harder as we have been using a Iphone program called viber and it doesn't save records :(

My wife is going with bunch of photos of us, and I hope its enough. They seems to be alot less skeptical of women then of men as well in Casa. I am hoping my wife gets added to the long list of women who get approved without any issues there. I am yet to see one woman denied or put through additional review after reviewing all of the VJ records.
