hi guys.

Im French and my wife is American resident from Cuba.

After getting married i applied for the permanent residence in february 2012, in order to get the 10 years green card cuz my wife is Cuban, i had my interview 1 month ago the October 1st.

Interviewed by 2 inspectors,We have been separated for several questions from the 1st second..SOOOOO SCARY.

Stressed out, We answered well at 80%, for example i said we never had christmas tree and my wife said that we do (cuz we actually have decorated our artificial tree) ,stupid question

After the interview we have been told that we are going to receive a mail regarding the answer.

I called USCIS 2 weeks after and they send a mail telling that im gonna have an answer within 6 MONTHS.

What is happening ? ? ? ? ? ?

Something in your case threw up red flags so they suspected fraud. I would hire a lawyer just in case. Good luck.

If the email said you'd need to answer, that means you have not been approved. It could be that they want more evidence, or it could be that they are sending you a denial letter and you can appeal.

How did you get into the USA? Is your wife a US citizen or greencard holder? What are you basing your adjustment of status on (ie marriage, her being Cuban....)?

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Chances are the 20% you missed were questions about things anyone in a real marriage should know, i.e. the x-mas tree question...

There is no reason to be alarmed if your marriage is not a fraud. You will be asked to present more evidence and another interview may follow.

Good luck!
