http://www.visajourn...hter-with-acid/ <---- Here's an example of a thread that was recently moved from P&R to OT

http://www.visajourn...or-bad-choices/ <---- Yet for some strange reason this thread remains in P&R.

Sorry, I've been incredibly busy in my RL the last few weeks and have had virtually no time to spend on my VJ responsibilities. I have about another week to ten days to go and hope to have more time freed up after that so will be able to participate on VJ more regularly once again.

I have just reviewed this thread and the above quoted posts. While I realize the OP asked to have the second link remain in the P&R forum, I agree, it is not political or religious - and even if a few individuals chose to try and make comments of that type, they were off topic and irrelevant to the discussion. The content of the article and the discussion are definitely more appropriate for OT, so I have moved the topic there.

While almost any theme or topic can be made to take a political and/or a religious bent, unless the original post contains an obvious religious or political connection - or one is made in the accompanying text- , then it should be posted in Off Topic. If the topic ends up swinging into political or religious discussions AND such discussions still relate to the original topic, then the topic can, realistically, be moved to P&R. The topic listed here never did. It started out non-political and continued non-political. If the OP had wished to make a political discussion about it (and I find it rather hard to see how the topic as presented would be made into a political or religious discussion AND remain on topic), then he should have included the premise under which he made the request that shows why it fit the P&R cateogry.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
