Love the wedding photos!! I would love to join the fb page.. Liam is on the computer a lot more than me so I hardly get time to come on here anymore lol.

We got a REF already :( Apparently, in England part of the shot they offer doesn't have the "pertussis" part so we had to find a certified doctor. Luckily it was on the same day he was going to get his finger prints and picture taken in Pittsburgh. We had to pay $50 for the visit and $70 for the shot. They wouldn't try to bill my insurance though even though it would have been covered!

What happened there exactly? When I got my DS-3025 from Knightsbridge the vaccine ticked is Tdap not Td (with the p being the pertussis). Did your DS-3025 say the same?

It's also marked "insuffficient time interval" because I had the medical within three days of the 1st vaccination, but this is documented to not be an issue.

MY PASSPORT HAS BEEN STOLEN.

Can somebody help me what to do????

Oh no! Get in touch with the nearest Indonesian consulate ASAP. I see you are located in California. It looks like there are consulates in San Francisco and Los Angeles. If you aren't close enough to actually physically visit the consulate, then call them. They should be able to help you. Best of luck. heart.gif

I'm in Indianapolis not in California, I don't know why it shows that I'm in California.

Thanks, my husband emailed the consulate in Chicago and they asked me to make the police report and call their office.

I'm wondering if the process of getting the new passport could be online or should I go to Chicago. If I can do it online then it will be easier.

Update:

At the police office, we got the police report (without have to pay cuz in the website said we have to pay per page).

At the city county building, the officer didn't ask my passport when we asked them 10 copies of the sealed certified marriage license.

The consulate is in Chicago, three hours driving, I'll call them on Monday to ask information on getting the new passport. I'm thinking to use my married name on the new passport since I'm married already but I don't know if it's okay or not. Anyone knows if I could use my married name or not?

at the USCIS office, my husband and I went there on Friday and a very kind lady helped me to check in her computer about me and she said that I don't have to be worried about the AOS cuz I'm in their system and she even printed me my I-94 paper, she said that for the AOS papers I just need to send the police report, the copies of my passport and visa, also a letter that explaining about how my passport got stolen.

Married name on passport will depend on Indonesia. In Peru, the name on the passport must match the name on the national identity card. In Peru you may use a "married name" or not, depends on what you want. In any event married names in Latin America take a different form from married names in the US, so they wouldn't match the married name you may be using for your SSN and for immigration stuff. Having said all that, I have no clue what Indonesia does. Good luck :)

We got married on Friday. smile.png Nothing very big, just a courthouse wedding as we planned, with my immediate family as guests (unfortunately none of his family could come), but it was a very nice simple ceremony and neither one of us wanted anything more! No honeymoon, since I teach I can't take off during the semester, but we'll plan something for the December holidays locally, maybe San Francisco or that area. Wedding pics attached, if it works correctly!

We went to get Mikko's social security number last week, and it seemed to go okay, so we're waiting for the card to arrive in the mail -- hopefully next week or the week after. (Crossing my fingers that there's no delay or problem with that!) Once we have the SSN, life should get busy again, since we'll want to open joint bank accounts, change some utility bills to him, and all of the normal life stuff. And in a few weeks, once we get our official marriage certificate (takes about 2-3 weeks here), we'll get the papers ready for AOS filing.

We may try to get a California state ID after his SSN arrives, but the timing is getting tight and they may not allow it. If not, we'll have to wait until after his EAD arrives in a few months, not the end of the world but I would like him to get a state ID to make certain things easier! I'd also like to figure out if he will qualify for the health exchange (Obamacare) in California, which I think he will -- I can't put him on my insurance since I actually don't really HAVE normal insurance, I'm in COBRA temporarily and will be switching to Obamacare myself in a few months.

Other than those things, life has been relatively quiet and PEACEFUL. Not quite stress-free, what with the shutdown and various other things to do, but lots of time together when I'm not working, and many new purchases to help him settle in -- also a lot of outings on weekends, since I feel like he's shut inside all week when I'm at work, and I don't want him to feel too confined! Overall, we're settling in really well, he's keeping in touch with his family on Skype several times a week, and there isn't much else to report, really! smile.png

How are you all??

any stories?

At this moment, I'm waiting for the new passport which is uncomfortable cuz my husband and I are really wanna file the AOS as soon as possible.

and I couldn't get the SSN since I'm married so I need to wait for the GC so I can work and I'm glad I'm not working cuz it's soooo cold here and I don't think I could work on my first winter, lol.

but, I could process the state ID soon ;)

among all, I'm still struggling with the weather. It's so freakin' COLD!!

i saw my first snow today!!! :D

You're not the only one! I woke up today to feed the dog and I soon as I went out there was this chilly breeze, smoke was coming out of my mouth, and my hands hurt from the cold :D I have yet to see snow though. My husband says they don't get snow till mid or late December.

Thank you. Fortunately they live withing Metro Manila and it wasn't in the storm's path. They are all safe. They did feel the strong winds though and slight rain. I feel bad for the victims though. I watched the news videos. It was unbearable. :(

Hope you guys are well. According to the VJ timeline, it's about 30 days or so after the biometrics is done when the EAD is either approved or sent out. Here's hoping we'll get our EADs sooner.
