With our very tight timeline, we tried to get her medical scheduled and the embassy said we needed to have the case number. We are lucky the Saudi embassy appointments can be gotten very quickly.

On a side note: Does the 'check my status' get updated when the NVC receives the I-129F? I'm just wondering when I should start calling to get our new case number. NOA2 was on 6-13

Woooo, my fiance got the packet from the embassy today! And we've already filled out all the forms, have the medical done, and have everything else we need I think, so in a few days we can send back the "complete" checklist and hopefully they schedule our interview for early July!

Perfect timing because I'm leaving tomorrow to stay in Finland for a month -- I was hoping to be there for the interview and now it looks like I will be able to! God, such a relief after so much stress earlier!

Amber, i didn't mean to ask about have your file reached the embassy, lol. I meant to ask have your fiancé got the email from embassy about updated info about you (if you're the beneficiary).. If your fiancé got it already then it means you'll get the email from embassy soon

Yeah, not all embassies email the US petitioner. Finland doesn't -- they just send a packet to the Finnish beneficiary via postal mail. I think that's actually more common -- although I think in countries where the mail isn't as reliable, they tend to do more via email. My fiance got his packet without any embassy communication to me.

i have a question. for the medical, from what i understand, you need a record of vaccinations you've had, correct?

you'd think a country like Canada would have a go to place for something like that... nope. hahahah

They asked my case number when i scheduled the medical exam today. And it is written in the email that we need it too for scheduling the interview.

Kumi, what did you write the embassy when you scheduled the interview besides your name and case number?

For Manila, I scheduled an appointment online and provided my personal and passport info as well. I did it on the ustraveldocs website.

In Indonesia they ask me to schedule an appointment on state.gov

I just read a thread about a form that we need to ask when we do the medical exam, ask for the DS-3025 form, we need it in the US for the adjustment status, if we don't have it then they will ask us to do another medical exam there.

Has anyone had any problems filling out DS-156? I've updated all my computer software and I still can't finish that form.

Its says error when I hit continue and then internal server error or something like that.

I was able to do it fine.

Maybe try using a different browser? I did mine on my work's outdated IE and it worked.

Yup. I had that problem. I was able to get it to work on Mozilla Firefox though.

Reminds me of the problems I had with forms. Whenever I print them at the office, the fields are blank. x.x Thankfully, I found a way to fix that annoying problem.

Congrats Stuart & Katie! I'm happy for both of you! In all honesty, we don't have any wedding plans yet. I have been so caught up and being paranoid about the requirements, medical appointment (which thank god is done <3 ), the upcoming interview I set on the July 22, and the seminar required before leaving the country. x.x Now I fear the 3 months after stepping on US will be full of crazy planning.

Yup. The DS-3025 contains your vaccinations. They should give it once the medical exam is over. Mine took two days (two longest days of my life lol) and they handed it to me and told me they will be forwarding the results to the US Embassy, since they're not allowed to just hand over the results, even to the applicant.
