I'm still busy with my work and this week is my last week of working before the time for me to resign. I'm planning to call the clinic and arrange the schedule, what form we need to take with us during the medical thing? And i hope next week the embassy will email me for the requirements they ask. What about the letter from the police? Are you going to prepare it? I'm planning to do it next week too.

I'm not sure if the requirements in my country are the same as yours but for me, I would need to bring: my passport, a photocopy of the passport bio, 3 pieces of 2x2 pictures, the appointment letter from the NVC (which I have just received today), photocopies of that document, my appointment letter of my interview schedule (just in case), and two copies of the online registration with my info.

As for the police clearance, I know I only need it if I lived out of my country for more than 6 months. And since I have only stayed within my country since I was born, I wouldn't need it.

just keeping everyone updated so we all can keep track. We received NOA2 May 28th and just got our nvc case number today! bad thing is we can not schedule medical because in Ciudad Juarez the medical is walk in. So not time to wait to schedule our interview.

According to the DHL tracking, our case file arrived at the Helsinki embassy today! (And was signed for by "Vartija" = GUARD/SENTRY, which made me laugh a bit.)

Haven't actually heard or confirmed that with the embassy, of course. I expect it'll take a couple of days before any real progress. I'm a little anxious because I sent a preliminary email to the embassy last week, mentioning that our case was on the way and asking two specific questions -- but no response yet, and it's been almost a week. I'll wait a few more days before contacting again, but I hope that's not a sign of any delays or non-communication on their part. Hopefully they're just waiting for the case to arrive which it did today!

Oh, and I should add that my fiance is doing a great job and not procrastinating like I feared he might! He's already scheduled his medical exam for this Thursday (6/13) and has in hand his police clearance and birth certificate and basically everything else we'll need for the interview. So I really think we're good to go, assuming the embassy moves fairly fast!

No packet 3 yet for me. Consulate claims hard copy wasn't received from NVC yet, when the DHL trick shows it was there on 5/22. I'm scared it's lost.

Well we were going to see about scheduling the medical but E called the embassy in Tunis and they told him that they need to receive the petition from NVC before we can proceed..for now, we are at a stand still. Gathering the last bit of stuff to send off to my love..does anyone know what to do in the case that our interview date comes and he has yet to receive everything from me? Because I have sent stuff express mail and priority to Tunisia and it's still taken over a month for him to get it..I have everything ready, just waiting for our co-sponsor to send me her end..

Still no word on our NOA2 yet. I did email the Embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia about her ability to pick up the letter requesting a police clearence letter and if she can take the medical now. They said to come in to pick up the letter and No she can not do her medical until she's approved. Oh well......

We are very close to deciding if she will extend in Suadi until the end of November. She doesn't want to have a large break in her medical practices for a long time. It also means that I'll be in the Philippines for Christmas and New Years!!! I'm liking this plan more and more.

I filled on November first! We received an RFE a few weeks ago and sent in what they needed ( just a petition saying we planned to mary within 90 days) They received that yesterday. How long does it usually take for the petition to be approved after this? Also how long can we expect the rest of the process to take ( visa packets, medical exams, and interview) ? Thanks

New update from me:

The embassy in Jakarta received our file on June 5th, and today, June 12th, my fiancé got an email that the US embassy in Jakarta wants him to send them my updates address, email and phone number. Wow! That's fast, and Praise the lord that i also finished my students grades and reports today.

You enter in the NVC tracking number and it will say either at NVC or in transit...it's doesn't give too many details but those two words were all i needed to see!!!
