ive been trying to call NVC all morning and all i get is a busy signal. anyone else have any luck?

Is it really difficult to get our new case number? I wish they send the new case number by email, it's easy for everyone.

I know I read somewhere that people double check their case number so they email NVC. Can't find the email for now but I'm planning to email them today so I could print it out and show it for my medical appointment.

I'm really pro-active on all of this, so we already have our police clearances and financial support packets and everything ready to go -- we're just waiting on our case number so we can book the medical exam and get the ball really rolling. So I've been calling NVC every day since Wednesday last week, just because I want that damn number as soon as it's ready -- I waited 6+ months and don't want ANY more delays! tongue.png

Unfortunately they still haven't received our file (NOA2 May 17th), but that's not really surprising. Every time I call, they say "ma'am, we need 15 business days to process your case" and I cheerfully thank them and say I'll call again later. smile.png I am hoping for success by the end of this week, but I won't panic TOO much if it's not there until next week, what with Memorial Day slowing things down a bit.

It was busy when I called earlier today, had to re-dial twice before I finally got into the "wait on hold for 15 minutes" line. I expect everyone was calling after a long holiday weekend, but I did eventually get through. No case number but not devastated, just impatient. I do wish they had an email or online case lookup system, though, it would sure ease the pressure on their phone bank!

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

N400 filed September 14, 2023, same day acceptance and Biometric Reuse notice, Interview on 2/13/24: Passed and same day oath. ALL DONE WITH USCIS.

2023 December 28: notice of interview scheduled for February 13, 2024

2024 February 13: naturalization interview (five-year rule) passed, same day oath - now a US Citizen and done with USCIS!

Just got my hard copy NOA2... Why does it say valid from 05/22/2013 to 09/21/2013? Does anyone know what that implies (if anything)?

It means your fiancee should interview before it "expires" (the visa is valid another 6 months after it's issued).

Consulates seem to extend the expire date at their discretion if needed.

My opinion for NVC call after 9-10PM EST. Seems like the second shift are nicer and way more helpful, also much short wait times.

Still waiting on ours to come. :( My finacee is becoming very sad seeing all the approvals and always aks.....'why has ours been approved yet'.

Dec 2, 2011 - Vivian traveled to USA to attend a medical conference and had our first date. On Dec 10, 2011 - Vivian returned home.
