My hairdresser told me today that his parents have finally gotten their consulate interview, Obviously they are not K-1 but just to put our wait in perspective it took over 3 years!

So remember that it is always darkest just before the dawn.

Or as the Sage says, "God please grant me patience.... and grant RIGHT NOW"

All the best to all....

My husband-to-be got orders for a deployment, not to a war zone but to Japan that starts in July...we're hoping that USCIS will grant us an expedite. He's making the phone call tomorrow...keeping my fingers and toes and everything else crossed, otherwise with the normal processing times I don't know how we're going to scrape in before we'd have to be in Japan.

I'll let you all know how it goes...

If there ever was a reason to expedite, that is certainly a big one. Good luck and do keep us informed.

All the best

Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement. He called today and USCIS said they will have an answer as to whether the expedite is approved within 5 working days. Then from there I guess we still have to wait for the NVC, the medical, the interview...even with the chance of the expedite it still feels like it's going to be a never-ending process.

Anyway, just wanted to say I appreciate the kindness...and I wish us ALL speed in our journeys to be with our loved ones again. It's hard, but having a lovely group of people such as yourselves definitely makes the wait easier :)

well i had a frustrating experience on the phone with USCIS the other day! i called to change my fiance's address and work info, as well as to see why my case isn't online yet. after being on hold for an hour(!) i was told they couldn't help me and they'd call me back in 24-48 hours. it's been almost 48 hours yet and nothing .. i have a feeling i'll be calling them again very soon!

USCIS is frustrating anyway. I suggest you do call again. It baffles me how they can't help you. Maybe USCIS is just one of those places that you have to keep calling until you find a helpful representative. My cable company is a great example. @_@

Oh man, really? 1 hour?! Wow. Your case isn't online yet? I would be calling everyday if I could.

I hope it gets up there soon! *fingers crossed!*
