Well UPDATE for us:

We had no activity thru the storm and then got a call middle of the week from the embassy. The agent told my Mr. that he needed a Canadian police report (lol) Oh my. He has worked there on a work visa the last two years (3-4 mths at a time) but never lived there. He explained and the agent said let me ck your file again and call you back. She did and said no Canadian Police report needed (no kidding). And it would be two more wks and the visa will be ready. He choked and said NO SOONER? She said well the soonest they could have it ready is Thurs or Friday of next week. Oh my.

I had been sick so he insisted I come to the US and he would wait for the visa next week. So I got home today and although sad we won't fly home together it is best - so hopefully it will show ready for pickup at the end of the wk and he can fly hopefully to Austin next weekend. and so it goes.............

PINKR - CONGRATS on getting yours!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

I cannot believe that just because someone thinks you need something that is wrong they don't expedite your issued visa. :bonk::blink::wacko:

Pinkrlion...it's believable - A normal occurrence of sickness will not be enough to expedite any part of the IV process (from I-130 > Visa Pickup)

Good you get to go home and get well enough to receive him. You're basically done with the K-1 part of your journey pending - visa pickup

thx all Already feeling better and see my Dr. tomorrow. Hoping all goes well with the actual pickup and that he can make his way to US easily. I told him there will be lots of kind people that can help him if he has questions along the way. I prefer to be with him but he will be fine. I will keep you all posted how it goes at the end of the week.

best to all on their journey

heavy sigh.....got a reply to an email I sent to the Embassy on Monday. They confirmed that the visa is in administrative processing going to PRINT.

They said it "could" be another week before its ready and then will have to travel by DHL from Kingston to Mobay.

I am so tired of waiting but no choice. So stressful regarding the plane tickets being available and affordable by the time we get notice the visa is ready for pickup. At the ready but I pray its by the end of this week. Our interview was Oct 12th and we are still waiting waiting waiting.......Monday will be a month.
