Congratulations on your white card, hehehe. I was approved last Friday, lets hope my whitecard arrives soon as well! :D

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

The reason it was called and still is called a Green Card is because it used to be green but it still has a section on it where it says Permanent Resident and that is in Green, hope this clears up your question.:lol::yes:;)

This is the Story behind Kat & Rob...you can read the whole story at wikepedia.com. There's a link below.

JUST CHECK THIS OUT...

The name "green card" comes from the fact that the predecessor form, I-151, introduced at the end of World War II, was printed on green paper[1]. Form I-551 was adopted in 1977 and has been printed on paper of various colors, none of which were green, but the term "green card" has nonetheless remained in use. As of 2006, the card is mostly white and the only prominent green feature is the lettering on the back. A card includes the holder's name and photograph, and other information, and has been updated over the years with numerous anti-counterfeiting devices.

I know you must be happy that you've got your greencard samantha fiel, but all of this

typing in huge type with weird colours is a little too much don't you think????

I mean I already have my green card and it's bloody irratating the hell out of me...........!

especially all the additional comments : hehehehehhehehahahahahahahaha

Most people who get approved have one joyous posting, and then that's it..........but it seems you had one for every time you were touched and every bloody day that passed since then......... can you tone it down or what?

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling like this, but I'm probably the only one who will express their feelings eh??

hehehehehehehahahahahahahah??????????!!!!!!!!!!!

(maybe if you will see my pics in friendster and other websites, you gonna crazy coz I'm changing it everyday. Like now I have halloween special with 15 weird photos. )
