Hang in there hopefully it will end soon but as stated it is better to wait a bit for a good resolve than to be outright denied.

I don't think this is exactly an administrative review. If it was they would have told you it was sent back to the United States for additional processing and you would be waiting 120 to 180 days. As long as it is in the consulates hands it is good news and probably won't take 120 days to resolve. Luckily you received an e-mail stating it was still at the consulate and not sent back. this is not correct. Administrative review is done at the consulate, administrative processing is done in Washington DC. In many cases further background checks are done at the embassy level and never sent to the US.

I'm so sorry Mounir. My husband was under AP for about 9 or 10 weeks before his visa was issued. I hope soon your husband's is issued and he can finally be with you. I know how difficult the waiting can be, especially when they don't give a timeline on when it will be completed. Good luck, if you ever need me just PM me, I try to log in every few days.

Correct, my first administrative review was done locally, at the end of my interview, the CO stated " ..until i'm convinced of the legitimacy of your relationship, i need to look over your proofs of correspondence, then the consulate will call you", no 221(g) was given by her, but later on same day, going over the documents given by the consulate staff, i found the 221(g) among the documents I & my wife submitted throughout the process from the start, then after many inquiries, consulate informed us the case is under administrative review, couple of days after that, the consulate called to inform me the I-130 is missing, 2 weeks later, consulate called me for my new interview schedule, interview took place Sept 27, 2012> 221(g):petitioner ineligible to sponsor the applicant > petition needs to return to the USCIS for Administrative Prcessing, that's the real AP Mounir, I see you at the exterior window of the consulate grabbing your passport within the CR-1 visa very soon.
