Today I received a RFE stating that I needed to provide 2 passport style photos. I sent the originals with the application along with my fiances photos, however they seemed to have lost mine. Needless to say, I over nighted the photos which should arrive tomorrow, 11-2-12.

My question is, how long will this request for evidence set back an approval notice?

Will my application go to the bottom of the pile now or what?

thanks in advance for your answers.....

i think that once they receive them, they will go back to ur file and update it. i dont think ur app will go to the bottom of the pile. they'll just go into ur application and update it as soon as they receive it. i've read on here that if ur mailing back an RFE request, u have to put the blue sheet that they sent u on top.

out of curiosity, how did u attach the 2 passport photos to ur application?

Once an RFE is issued in a case, all processing on it stops until they receive your response to their RFE.

I got my RFE notification today, so now just waiting on the letter to see what they need. I have heard from other people that passport photos is a common need. I sent in mine, but i did not send in my fiances passport photo. It is good to hear that we dont have to wait very long after we send off the documents! =)

Just to clarify, you had sent in your original passport photo, and that was not accepted? They needed two photos of you like the passport photo? oh goodness, what kind of quality photo did you send back?

I put the photos in a regular envelope and then stapled the RFE (blue request form)to the envelope as the instructions suggested.

Sorry, I reread what you asked me. I think I might have put everything in a big envelope on my application. Even so, they had one set of photos.

No, I sent them regular passport type photos, but they were lost somewhere along the way....
