Most folk with MSC #'s cannot see casefile status online.

Is best to get an ISO on the phone at USCIS, however, I suggest waiting until about day 30 until calling.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

So, I filled out the thing for an e-request (not realizing that it was only for typos), it took my MSC# but would only accept the zip code of the house we are moving to in America (not our actual mailing zip code or one for a different town in CT).

Being that we are soon going to be pushing 30 days without a paper NOA1, is it possible it was sent there? The mailbox was last checked December 1 and that would have been about 2+ weeks after NOA1.

I really really do not want to have to call, because Skype calls on my laptop are annoying and I don't want to be on hold for an hour.

Any thoughts?

My notice date is November 5, for our NOA1. I called USCIS today because we can't track our receipt # online. The person I spoke to said that it can take up to 45 days before a case is able to be tracked on their website. I asked if it had anything to do with our receipt# beginning with MSC, and he said no.

I am so anxious to move forward! Grrr.....

Did you ask to speak with an ISO? Or just the first person you got on the call?

Because the ISO can see what your case is up to and where it's at.

That is actually the answer I got from an ISO today. They said it was because of a high volume of cases.

But at least with your phone call they told you you had no RFEs at the moment.

I just want to make sure people at least ask the right questions.

Did you ask if your case was still at NBC or a field office?

If you have any RFEs or NOIDs yes.

Because they have been NOIDs at the field offices.

You're after 45 days so this is definitely a great thing for you to be calling.

Find out if it's still at NBC or sent to a local field office.

If field office, you can ask if you see any pending interview requests as well.

I forgot to ask. I was more worried about the RFE and no snail mail NOA1. I'll call back in 2 weeks and ask.

I did not ask to speak to an ISO. I think 35 days is very reasonable not to have received any new info, other than my NOA1. I am just having a difficult time being patient and wanted to stalk my case on the USCIS website. When I get beyond the suggested 45 days, I will certainly call back and be more persistant.

Get to see my hubby in 11 more days. Can't wait to relax on our belated honeymoon together :)

Well, if you don't ask to speak to an ISO, then calling is pointless because the Tier 1 people can see exactly what you can.

Which is apparently nothing in this case? lol

Next time, best to ask for an ISO.

They can see nothing and they just read from a script about the 30 to 45 days thing. *Grumbles*

I decided to call back sooner, like today and this time the tier 1 lady pretended not to know what an ISO was!! I had to be like "transfer me to someone who can actually see my case."
