Well, if it gives you hope Hartford approved my first I-130 last week (NOA1 Nov 8). Unfortunately, my husband was already a conditional permanent resident at that point.

Totally unrelated to your quote...but I wanted to say HI coz...

You are another familiar Nov. I-130 filer face I recognized. So you are done with the process already huh! I hope you are nicely settled back in the US...take care! Good seeing you online! It's been a long time coming....now finally sent all the stuff NVC needs and waiting for it to be complete and interview date assigned! Anxiously waiting! smile.png

If you don't ask to speak to a Tier 2 officer when you call USCIS then they will always tell you that it's at NBC, the person that answers the phone is not able to tell you anything important. Only the tier 2 officer has access to see when it was transferred to a local office.

NBC processes cases within 60 days.

I was at NBC but then was transferred to local field office. Total NOA1-NOA2 time was almost 6 months.

I had to really push the Tier 2 person to tell me where it was transferred, otherwise they just kept saying it was at NBC (generic answer). It took a few TIer 2 calls for me to find out exactly where mine was.

this is crazy i have been calling every month since i hit the 3 month mark and i have spoken to a tier 2 person and they keep telling me its at nbc but most people i know got transferred to a local office like a month after their forms got to nbc it's getting ridiculous how little they know about our cases and how unorganized they have been approving people

Agree with you... was in your same exact shoes. I took multiple Tier 2's before I found out mine had been transferred to local office. They key thing I kept saying was, "The embassy here needs to know exactly what city my paperwork is in right now." And that is how I finally got them to tell me.... even after that, when I called they would say it was in NBC and never moved (even though the local field office was interacting with me).

Be persistent is my only advice.

Good evening, we're new to the forums, and getting more frustrated by the day!

We sent our I-130 In November 2012, we sent the I-864 affidavit of support and the DS-230 with a long list of things to prove intent to re-establish domicile on 3rd of May and it was received the 5th of May. I called today to find out what the status could be and the nice lady I spoke with said we were missing a few things, that I needed to email them AND she was sending our file for a review for the Intent to re-establish domicile (maybe they missed the papers we sent....) . I told her we are not living in the US so I don't have domicile, W2's, or proof of employment over there. So she said to send, bank statements from my accounts here, and a letter stating why I do not have W2's. I threw in a whole bunch more information for proof to re-establish domicile while I was at it.

So, I email them, and happened to receive a checklist cover letter just after, stating:

"A review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and supporting documents that you submitted has revealed that you have provided incomplete information in your response or you have not responded to some questions."

then this seems to be all I am missing:

General Instructions

[x] The checklist below indicates missing or incomplete documents.
Supporting Documents Missing or Incomplete
[x] The (sponsor) has not provided proof of U.S. domicile.
Yeah - We don't live there
[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or of
self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).
Again - Don't have this either
[x] The submitted income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete (if
you have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy) (Only
Federal returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto Rico.)
• W-2 forms are missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2012 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.
One more time - not working there!
[x] You have not attached proof of ownership and value of the following assets:
• [x] Savings/checking accounts [ ] Real Estate [x] Stocks, bonds, Certificates of Deposit, and
other assets.
This I can do, but they are all foreign accounts
So I called back and asked them if the email I sent was sufficient - and because I'm filing in Barbados my emails cannot be processed, I HAVE to send paper. So Monday I will resend ($50 again!) my I-864 with tons more proof on intent(translated letter of resignation from my job, we didn't enroll our child in french education system because we knew we were moving back, we've already purchased a puppy that's going to be 8 weeks when we arrive), letters from 3 family members, my four bank account statements from my bank here in St Martin, and a lengthy letter of why I don't have W2's.
Do I need to resend EVERY paper I sent with my previous I-864, or just the missing items? (Which I only have one of the four:/)
Please tell me this is enough to have our file completed.... we want to move back home the 31st of August and every week we have to wait is another week closer to departure date. Going back to the states before my husband can come is not an option, we have a four year old daughter who will never understand why her daddy is not coming with us.
Does anyone else have any more advice as to what else we should do to move this along? I just want to go home.
Thanks in advance everyone!
