You can enter numbers other than your own in the online Case Status report. Yes, that means we entered number after number by hand. There is no spreadsheet that we can download.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

They just inputted the numbers. Most of the time they're considered private information so people don't post their numbers online.

:thumbs: For me, that was 1432 cases that I've gone through, yielding 288 stand alone I-130s. I write down the case numbers (usually on the last two digits to save time) and then I only have to check those in the future.

I made an Excel spreadsheet; it's much easier to enter and crunch numbers. I assigned four columns to NUMBER, PROCESSING CODE, APPROVAL DATE, and COMMENTS. I use the following for PROCESSING CODE:

NOT = not an I-130 (all other codes refer to I-130s whether they are standalone or associated with another case number, which is not clear from context)

NPF = rejected as not properly filed

IR = Initial Review step (regardless of whether the last touch was acceptance, address change, name change, etc.)

RFE = either Request for Evidence step or RFE - Receipt Reviewed step)

APP = Decision step, approved

DEN = Decision step, denied

DEC = Decision step, "completed" with no approval or denial stated

PDA = Post-Decision Activity step

When I apply my filters, I count all cases without NOT codes as total I-130s. Total accepted I-130s are all I-130s without NPF and DEN. Total approved I-130s are all I-130s with APP or PDA. I put APPROVAL DATE for the latest activity for APP and PDA cases only (I have not yet seen any cases with PDA that were denied). COMMENTS are just interesting things or possible exceptions.

When I go back over my spreadsheet, I re-check the status of all cases with IR, APP, DEC, and RFE codes. My goal is to check every Sunday afternoon.

Hope that helps other trackers looking at cases at their facility on their day! I welcome suggestions for making this better reflect reality.

I tell them all they're doing it wrong.

Wrong means it isn't done my way.

Then I'm expected to train everyone while still getting all of my own work done.

I have projects that haven't been reconciled from early november.
