I spoke with my congressman's office 2 weeks ago and was told they wouldn't try for a service request for 2 weeks. So, I'll be contacting them again tomorrow to see if they are going to do anything. I really hope they do, as it seems several people who have recently gotten approved or a RFE had contacted a Senator or Congressman.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

All I heard from my congressman was that I should wait another 10 business days because csc was still working on July 18 cases and as I was opening my mouth to tell her that csc been telling this to everyone but all of sudden the case worker said yes I understand your concern but I asked for another service request and hopefully Within 10 business days you should get an rfe or a decision :) hoping and praying to at least have my half on my birthday or I'll seriously go crazy coz I miss him a lot :(

We got our NOA2 today...

Congrats and have a beautiful journey for both of u :)

I spoke with them again last week and they put in a "congressional inquiry" which I don't believe is a service request. Because I talked to them again yesterday and they got the typical July 18th response. At least they are trying to do something and following it up with CSC. She said I was 1 of 3 people she was doing the same thing for, all August filers. Also they would follow up again on the 21st with CSC if no progress is made by then.

Oh are you working with congressman McClintock ? Because that's who I am working with and the case worker is a sweetheart she just called me today to assure me that she will help me no matter what and will make them get me my NOA 2 in no time so thats what I heard recently from them.

Who's district are you in? My congressman's office (Honda) was not very helpful.

Yes I am, small world. :) She is very nice and seems to really care about what is going on, even if she can't get the results we are looking for.

Very interesting looking at the party affiliations of the congressmen.... yours is being helpful, mine is doing absolutely nothing other than relaying information I can find by myself on the USCIS website. Makes you wonder.

August 6 here today I got email from my congressman Hello Mr. Randhawa,

I received a response from USCIS California Service Center, and they tell me that current processing time is 5 months, but that they are currently experiencing a backlog. They tell me that you should receive a Notice of Action, which may be a Request for Evidence, Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Notice of Intent to Deny, or Notice of Intent to Revoke, within 60 days. I would be happy to follow up with the USCIS in 60 days if you have not received a Notice of Action.

Also, you had mentioned expedited processing in your communication with us. If you would like to request expedited processing, you may do so by sending a written request with supporting documentation. Expedite criteria are as follows:

Extreme emergent situation

Humanitarian situation

Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the U.S.

Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (request from U.S. Government entity only)

USCS Error

Compelling Interest of USCIS

It is my understanding that cases are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and if the case is determined to meet the criteria, it will be sent for adjudication. If it is not determined to meet the criteria, it will be processed normally in the order that it was received.

Please let me know if you feel you qualify for expedited processing. If not, please contact me if you have not received notice within 60 days.

Thanks,

Lisa Clark

I just read a post here that CSC is transferring workload to TSC... I think this is great news! This will help CSC to be back on track and hopefully we could see more approvals soon...
