Can the Sponsorship be cancelled?

So my mother in law is angry at me for whatever reason. Now she wants to call her brother, my sponser to cancel the sponsorship. I called USCIS yesterday and they confirmed that he can apply for this but it will most likey still be enforced by the goverment.

So are there any cases where the sponsorship is withdrawn and I have to leave? Right now I'm having a pretty good job and could support my husband and me well. I'm the alien resident.

If you are already in the US and the AOS has been done. Then there is nothing really that can be done at this point. Do you have a 2 year GC?

if the green card has been issued, sponsership cannot be withdrawn.

I am assuming you entered the US on a spouse visa? Then the brother is the co-sponsor for the purposes of the affidavit of support, correct? None the less there is nothing that can be done now. He can call and say he would like to cancel him being a co-sponsor but like USCIS stated he will still be responsible if you become a charge. So, no you will not have to leave.

It cannot be removed once you got your green card.

Am right that a sponsorship responsibility automatically ceases once the beneficiary becomes US citizen?
